S4E17 Because The Night Discussion

AHHHHHHHHHH KC KILLED ME. THE FLIRTING. THE EYE SEX. SOMEONE GET A KNIFE BECAUSE THAT SEXUAL TENSION WAS T H I C K . STEFAN THE LITTLE S%IT JUST HAD TO RUIN IN.


Damon and Lexi? No freaking comment atm.

Eeek, I loved MOST of this episode.

Let me get the parts out that I didn't like first. Elena......ugh. I don't get the appeal of this new Elena. There's NOTHING there from the first 3 seasons. Even when Stefan had his humanity off (heck, even when Damon did) you could still recognize their character. She's just this new, awful character. Talking down to Rebekah like SHE is the better vampire? Ugh, no thanks. Speaking of Rebekah, why baby why?! I understand she's wanting that cure, so I don't mind working with Elena to get it. But don't have FUN with her! I guess maybe my little Kol heart is still battered and bruised because I didn't like it.

Also, Damon.   I'm not sure what the writers were going for here by making Damon suddenly kill Lexi because she made him feel guilty. I think it just makes me feel worse about the whole thing. It's horrible to kill your brother's best friend ON HIS BIRTHDAY for no reason at all, but to kill her because she makes you feel bad? I get they were using it as a way for Damon to be able to tell Elena "you're going to do something you can't take back" and I guess they were wanting to let us know that Damon feels regret for killing her....but I don't know. I just have a bad taste in my mouth about it. 

Klaus and Caroline...OMG guys! I needed this episode. When Caroline was telling him he was a terrible person I was like "welp, here we go again". Especially when Klaus just stood there with his slightly offended/slightly sad face. But then at the end when he repeated those words back to her? Oh man, SO happy and relieved. I felt bad for Caroline but in that moment I think she needed to realize that she can't say whatever she wants to him and then turn around and want something from him the next minute. It happened 4x13 and it also happened in 4x14. But Klaus finally let her know that what she says to him DOES make an impact. As Team Klaus, I needed that. I also loved how they had Caroline keep bringing up the hybrids over and over again and then it be Caroline who killed 12 people. A beautiful symmetry don't you think?   AND SHE ADMITTED SHE FELT THE ATTRACTION OF KLAUS. That's so big. No one can say that it's all been one sided now!

Ok...so im gonna write a review and go to sleep

First things first...DAMON. WHAT. THE. HECK. I love you but that was LOW. I cant believe he tricked Lexi like that. AND KILLED HER. I felt bad when Elena was playing him, about the cure...but he had it coming Ugh. He looked SUPER hot in the 70s though I LOVED when Damon asked Lexi to help Stefan though.

Stefan. My bby is getting stuff done and I hated it when he was getting attacked. Bless him for taking care of Bonnie though.

Klaroline. GUYS. MY OTP WAS ON FIRE TONIGHT. OH MY. SEXUAL TENSION WAS THICK. I loved their flirting about triangles and found the jabbing between them refreshing. Klaus and Caroline were stubborn mules who hurt each other. Happy Klaus stood up for himself but I felt SO bad for Caroline. bb, i'll hug you. LOL is it just me or did Klaus look TURNED ON when Caroline wasnt finished with her geometry? RAWR He likes that. oh and MAJOR feels attack when Caroline admitted feeling attracted & Klaus basically saying he cares about her.

Rebekah. Im kinda torn on her partnership with elena...it was amusing to watch but i felt AWFUL for Kol and Damon. LMAO she killed me when she took down that guy for touching her hair AAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH. BLESS YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

Bonnie and Silas. POOR GIRL. I cant even find anything annoying with her atm. Silas just needs to gtfo thanks! Can I just say I loved Bonnie's dad! we need more parents like him in town! oh and BONNIE SCARED ME. THE EYES. HOLY MOLY.

Overall, GREAT EPISODE. WAY BETTER THAN 4X16.

Wow. I was out and couldn't watch live. I just watched twice. Once with everyone then just the Klaroline with Stefan.

This was a good episode. I love them together and as individuals but Caroline has been a favorite since episode one. Tonight, I so feel for her but Klaus was right. This is a growing moment for her. I read the tumblrs before watching so I held my head whispering no in their last scene together.

Our Care Bear has grown up. She did it for Bonnie. I wonder how Bonnie will react.

Now, I don't want to give Julie Plec any credit cause she will probably flip back and [censored] us but remember this quote where she said one them had to change for them to actually go there with the relationship? Well, Caroline became a mass murderer tonight.

Oh and yes, those looks were hot tonight. Also, I loved how he played her into admitting her emotions.

HAHA, Mandy! It WAS a beautiful symmetry indeed.
I'm just kinda glad that it was Caroline who finished the third massacre..yup!

I've started reading recaps from the episode, and so far everyone but one LOVED the Klaroline interaction. NoWhiteNoise so far is the one who doesn't like it, but he's hit or miss on Klaus anyway. Everything he liked about the episode, I didn't, so whatev 


I'm just happy that for the most part everyone is one the same page when it comes to that last KC scene. I was afraid everyone would be "OH M GEE, KLAUS!" but everyone seemed to think it was the right response from him. I feel like we made real improvement this episode, on both of their ends. Caroline discovered she can't just say whatever she wants to him and expect him to take it. And Klaus has firmly gotten through to her that the ball is in her court now. She can't continue being hot or cold depending on what she needs from him.
