Hmm...maybe. I'm pretty sure she was standing behind the witch when she stabbed her, come to think of it. And the others probably wouldn't have had time to yell out to her in warning.

So, I was lurking another TVD board, and I saw an interesting theory on the final scene between Caroline and Klaus in 4x17. A poster suggested that maybe he actually did it on purpose, to keep her safe from Silas, who showed up just moments after Caroline left. I'm not going to say I agree with this, but I do think it's an interesting idea. He does have superior senses that very possibly could have alerted him to Silas' approach. I do think that Klaus didn't look terribly surprised when he showed up.
That is, of course, assuming that Silas wasn't a hallucination. I'm still not exactly sure what was going on there; I do think Klaus was actually stabbed, but of course when the camera panned out we saw that no one was actually there during his earlier conversation, so...what? I guess we'll have to wait for this to be answered.

Interesting. And when Klaus rushed towards him with vamp-speed, Silas just disappeared, didn't he? but I suppose he has this ability too. Far-fetched, you think? Judging by how his eyes widened for a second there, I thought Klaus did look surprised when he sensed Silas behind him (which also kinda suggests that Silas' presence was really there). But dunno, what with the the supposedly indestructible stake breaking off like that and with Silas probably making a misleading comment that Klaus' mind is stronger to get inside, it very well could be that Silas was a hallucination himself and Donna was right about Klaus clawing at his back for something that's not even there. This is going to make my skin crawl, I know it!
