The show changes things in order to suit their plan. The Originals should not be so easily taken down...that is fact. However, to suit their "heroes" they will change that fact for a scene. I mean these Originals have stayed alive how many centuries and some HS kids get the one up on them? I dont think so. Also please..stop bringing Bonnie in with a spell for EVERYTHING. Its so unrealistic... @donna LOL Yes, exactly. I'm thoroughly disappointed with this episode. Even more so with what they've done to Rebekah. She's not mad at them for killing her brother like that?! She cares more about curing herself (so she can find love and have kids) than her own brother of 1000 years. Sorry but that really isn't Rebekah! It seems as though (dunno if this has anything to do with the spin-off or was originally planned so) they are really pushing Klaus' buttons this season. If they keep this up, The Originals are going to have to exit TVD with the grandest fanfare possible, a reverberating exodus that lives up to their old reputation and standard as the oldest, most powerful vampires in the world. Not that I mind, they can get all "evil" in the process, as much as they want because they still come off as passionate creatures, unpretentious with their morals and just downright awesome. (ofcourse it all depends on this Silas and what he has in store for all of them...perhaps, the Originals leave with compelling everyone to forget them?! But Caroline gradually remembers and makes her way to Klaus, later in the spin-off. )

Yeah, I saw those Matt posts. I was rewatching the Damon and Klaus scene. Damon told Klaus if you're going to be bad then be bad with a purpose. I wonder what his purpose for his relationship to Caroline or Andi would have been? Food obviously. Using them for sex and other goals. LOL Damon is darn lucky he didnt reveal his past with Caroline. Klaus would have lost it. Im dying at how alot of DErs hate Klaus right now. Pshh yeah ok. my bby is flawless, k? Gahh im just still not over how soft his face and his eyes and his voice got when he mentioned Caroline. STAHP IT, KLAUS. LOL kay im good now. Bonnie is drunk on dark magic and I'm scared for her.

Compelling them to forget the Originals would be interesting, but wouldn't it leave a lot of holes in their lives? Like what happened to :John, Jenna, Abby, am I missing anyone? The nameless classmates. Wouldn't Elena be wondering about how she became a vampire? And what would trigger Caroline to remember?
At this point, they're making it easy for me to want the spin-off since they've made most of the main cast unlikeable. Just bring Caroline.

I think that line means to have an underlying streak capable of changing for someone or redeeming oneself; and to subtly let it be known every now and then. Or some silly purpose like that! I like Klaus just the way he is. His complexity is quite infinite! We all knew the very second Damon appeared that he was the redeemable anti-hero and the inevitable love-interest. Who wants Klaus to be like that as well?

Can we just worry about Shane for a minute? One of his heroes is gone. And what happened to Kol's bat?

Haha! I thankfully haven't seen any Klaus hate, but I am being VERY careful about what's on my dash on tumblr right now. They're mad because Klaus predicts that Elena will go back to Stefan once she's human? Um, IAN said the same thing!!!! I rewatched the episode a bit ago (fast forwarded past the Kol dying part because NO) and kol mentioned when he was at the door that Elena was safe because he wouldn't be killing jeremy because of the curse and that he'd heard vervain was back in town so he wouldn't be able to compel her. Sorry kat, but I am with Donna on the jeremy thing. I don't really have a problem with Jeremy, but anything that makes Elena sad makes me happy. I am in a mood...lol

Oh God. I have so many feelings about this episode...My parents showed up unexpectedly last night so I couldn't watch until earlier today and...What. The. Hell. There were two things I was very sure and very vocal about while we were discussing 4x12 in the spoiler threads: 1) The writers wouldn't be stupid enough to kill Kol permanently, especially with an Original spin-off in the works. 2) Klaus and Damon's "personal advice" would have nothing to do with Caroline. So am I good at predictions or what? Anyway, while I was pleasantly surprised at being wrong re:speculation No2 (and I'm going to comment on that later, because right now my Original feelings are still overwhelming me), I am still in a stage of shock and rage over Kol's death. WTH show! Four for you, queen Elena for the genocide you just commited! I don't think I've even hated Elena before (although everyone's fascination with her has annoyed me for a while now)...but now I really do. I am just so mad at her. And I am so mad at how they made a baby vamp and a human (hunter but still human) overpower a 1000 year old Original. Show has f-ed up so much with the Originals' powers, they need to decide if they're supposed to be super-strong or they can be taken down by anyone. I'm half-expecting Tyler to kick Klaus' butt next week... Which brings me to the part that slayed me even more that Kol's death. Klaus was just standing there, watching his brother die, helpless and unable to do anything. And then they "locked" him in the house to spend the next few days with his brother's dead body. I HATE EVERYTHING (but mostly Elena Gilbert). He didn't want him to die! But Kol died thinking that his brother was in the plan too! And the episode was titled "A View To A Kill". KEEP IT TOGETHER TANIA.I'm also extra annoyed with Stefan for the Rebekah part, and although he changed his mind, I don't think I can really support Stebekah after all the manipulation. And I don't completely understand why Rebekah Spoiler: Click Here To View goes to that island with Elena and co after they just murdered another one of her brothers? I know this post is a mess and I will try for a more coherent approach later on but the wound is just too fresh now. UGH Elena.

Question. Anyone who goes into Klaus's inprisonment can get out, right?

Mayby that's how season 4 Damon is supposed to be, but am I expected to believe that season 1 Damon had a purpose for all the horrible things he did? Is TVD still trying to change history like they did in the 4x08 flashbacks? Sorry, that won't make me like Damon more. It will only make me judge the show's writing.

Maybe they'll have a time lapse in the next episode and {Spoiler: Click Here To View}Klaus will be out of his barrier and Bek and the MF gang will be on the island.
