This was (and I say this in past tense because it's all done and over) JP's opportunity to make things right. I agree, there's no real reason for any of the others to come back and stick around. They can find a loophole for Kol (because this show is built on holes) since he's an Original. I'll buy any explanation for why he's able to be permanently resurrected while the others can't. The Originals need that character, he could bring so much to the series. Crossing fingers, lighting candles, and forming prayer circles for Kol's permanent return! Yes, bringing Kol back is all that I wish for!! I have such a good feelings that he'll stay, but I'm afraid to hope. Kol can come back, leave with Klaus and then I can ship him and Sophie together..lol The stills. THE STILLS. It totally looks like Klaus is either going in for a kiss (cheek?) or is just pulling back from one. And how his hands are first on top of her arm and then it's lower...like he's running his hands up and down her arm. GOODNESS CAROLINE, HOW CAN YOU RESIST? I've seen a few people speculate maybe she is smiling at Tyler in that one, but I don't think so. First because in that scene it's day time and in Klaus' scene it's night. Klaus might pardon Tyler, but there's no way he's going to let him come back and them both just hang out at grad. I just don't think Trevino is back anymore this season. If anything, Klaus tells Caroline that Tyler is free before he goes and that's the extent of Tyler's part in the finale. Trevino also seemed pretty busy in LA around the time it was filmed. I can't believe Candice actually gave a pretty pro-KC interview! I'll see if that feelings change when we get the Tyler/graduation part of the interview tomorrow..lol. I think she pretty much confirmed that the Hayley/Baby thing is something Caroline doesn't find out about until season 5. Hahaha, oh Klaus. Just like a guy, keeping quiet about the baby mama drama at home.  YES! Basically everything you said is how I see it! I think it's possible she could be smiling at Matt, the hair kinda looks dark blondish but I'm not sure. I'm assuming all the people around them are witches or something. It could just be a resurrected ghost. It's funny because it looks like Elena is behind her and possibly in pain, yet Caroline looks really happy to see whoever that is. THE HAND!!! I can't! basically... I'm waiting impatiently to see what's really going on and at the same time it sucks because that's the last episode and everything between them will most likely be left up in the air. The "baby mama drama" (LOL) will probably be kept a secret til S5, when Caroline shows up in NOLA HAHAHA Based on Candice's interview it sounds like the door will be left wide open for them and that alone makes me really happy. We had already been promised it would happen but just the fact that she's confirming it and being positive about it... I don't want to see the TC part of this interview. BURN IT WITH FIRE!!! |

Those stills are driving me MAD!!! Ahhh...I want that kiss so bad!!! It definitely looks like he's pulling back from a kiss on the cheek. And she's standing there like that with her eyes closed, gah! Klaus can lean in again, brush her lips with his and then vanish and I would burrow deep into my sofa and die quietly.
Candice was probably feeling sorry for us and the Klayley baby trauma we had. Here, lets not make the poor souls want to tear out their hearts.

Carina?! A Klaroline (kinda) shipper?! Link me! If Andy Swift becomes a Klaroline shipper then I will know that hades has frozen over! I think that Lexi will be the ghost that becomes a permeant fixture on this side of the veil. But I'm hoping really really really hard that it is Kol!!!!!!!!! I agree Kat, that Damon will end up taking the cure. Or more likely being forced to take it. |

I'd be surprised if it were Lexi who stayed. Especially when Kol is such a fan favorite, and it has been made very clear how people feel about his death and how badly we want him back for the spin-off. I have yet to find a single fan on tumblr/forums/etc. that is cool with Kol being killed off and Hayley essentially taking his place on Originals. It would be a dumb move on their part. I'm sure there are Lexi fans, but not nearly so many as there are Kol fans, not to mention he has a little niche to fit right into--where would Lexi go?
But then again, this show has done dumb things before, so I could be wrong. I hope not.

Didn't Arielle get a pilot, though? I also know she got some gig hosting some sort of game show over the summer. I don't know, I can't see it being Lexi. Again, what would be her purpose. The only one who really has anything to offer is Kol because of the spin off and because of how large his fan base is. HOWEVER, the only reason why I'm worried it wouldn't be Kol is because he'd be going off to the spin off. Would they give a character who won't have anything to do with TVD next season that sort of story line? Sigh...I just want Kol.
Regarding Carina...it's definitely odd. She first said she'd follow Klaus to NOLA. Then when someone asked her if she liked them, she said that people can change their minds all the time and what's the fun in watching shows if you can't do that? She also said she wanted them to kiss. She's said before she only ships things that have no hope, so maybe that's it..lol

Now that the spin-off is officially on and the two characters will probably have minimum interaction with each otter...she probably deosn't feel as threatened any more. Someone on tumblr suggested a theory that Plec asked her to be nice because KC fans are super-angry after 4x20...Guys, we scared Julie. I approve but I doubt it.  |

I have the same theory as Donna about Lexi being the ghost who comes back permanently. Lexi definitely lost her relevance a long time ago, but that hasn't stopped the writers from bringing her back for flashbacks and ghost appearances every season. I personally don't think Lexi would add anything worth while to TVD, but we all Julie is constantly second guessing her decisions to kill off characters after she realizes said character is popular. |

Well, Arielle has been a popular choice for the video segment TVD rehash. Her IMDB profile mentions 90210 (that's ending isn't it) and a short movie. Nothing else. link
Malese has been the other rehash host. I know she's still got a small role in "Big Time Rush". She's filming a TV movie, but nothing else on her IMDB profile either. I don't know how she'd be received w/o Jeremy. link
The Cult has been cancelled, but several months ago, Matt Davis said he wouldn't want to come back to TVD permanently. I guess he could change his mind. |

Malese got a role in the new CW show "Oxygen" so she's out.
The main TVD twitter page made it seem like it's between Lexie, Jeremy, Alaric, or Kol. Based on fan count, it would be Kol all the way. But again, he wouldn't be a part of TVD next season, so why make him be the one to stay if it doesn't benefit this show? Unless they want to benefit their new show more? SIGH I DON'T KNOW. Cries.
I say it's between Alaric and Kol. Jeremy won't fit in with the college scene, especially since there's supposed to be a lot of new faces next season. They won't need another kid. Alaric would fit the "pseudo" parent since Caroline and Bonnie's parents probably wouldn't follow them off to college.
But just thinking about Kol, Klaus, and Rebekah leaving at the end of the episode together? MAH FEELS.
