I've seen a few posts where people are like "omg, Klaus goes to NOLA to save Hayley??? I hate everything, this show is stupid, Julie doesn't know anything..blah blah blah" and I'm over here like "......did you not read it?" LOL It clearly states that WHILE THERE Elijah finds out that Hayley has found herself in trouble with Sophie. Considering it's supposed to be an anonymous tip that sends Klaus down there, I don't think Hayley was a thought in his mind at all until he was already mixed in with the witches as well. I'm excited for the episode. Joseph said something pretty cool happens in the cemetery. |

Ok, I am confused. Is Rebekah staying in MF after all? Or is she going to NOLA later? I sort of wanted her to follow her bros.  Not sure how I feel about all the Katherine vulnerability the show is trying to shove down my throat. And if they're so determined to go that way, couldn't they have at least focused on her well-established feelings for Stefan? The more I think about this new Elijah thing (which I bet is what her special 'message' to Rebekah will be about), the more contrived I find it. |

It sounds like Rebekah stays behind in Mystic Falls.  Not ready to forgive her brother, I guess, and we all know Klaus won't do himself any favors. I'm assuming she'll probably decide to go with him in 4x23, though. The writers are doing the same thing with Kalijah that they did with Damon's EPIC love for Katherine and Katherine's EPIC love for Stefan. It just sort of melted away suddenly so they could match them up with something shiny and new. All we've heard from Katherine is "I came for you, Stefan. I loved Stefan. Stefan, Stefan, Stefan". A part of me hopes she's just playing Elijah but then I think of Elijah's sad face and I don't want that either. Le sigh. |

Yeah..I'm confused about Rebekah too. Maybe she'll turn up towards the end of this episode or season. Always and Forever. *HAPPY TEARS* ugh! We'll be a mess after and during this episode, I know it.
Why is Elijah suddenly determined to help his brother find redemption? I dunno, I think Klaus is in a good place now but it must be just for the synopsis. Or maybe he completely loses it when he hears that the very town he helped built is plotting against him now. I know I would.  
Wondering how many centuries had Klaus spent in the New World... he must have had a hand in many things.
The Katherine 'vulnerability' bit is surprising, I admit. I was fine with it in 4X18 because I thought they were building something with her character for TVD's next season or something. I'm suspiciously eyeing this whole thing now...what are they planning for Katherine? And Joseph Morgan did say that Elijah will be asking Klaus about Katherine.
Will we be seeing her in the crossovers as well?

Aww I just want Klaus and Rebekah to make up.  I miss their bonding lol. I think Kat is serious about Elijah, Mandy. She does ask Rebekah some personal message so I assume its for Elijah. |

I don't get the Elijah/Katherine thing either. It's always been Stefan for Katherine, and now all of a sudden we are hit with this, without even an allude to her feelings for Stefan? Ok, writers.

I could be wrong, but I think it would be very hard for Nina to be in every TVD episode and then in the Originals too. Most of the Originals filming will be done in Atlanta, so it might not be too bad.

That's why I don't think Elijah/Katherine will carry over. It just seems like it would be much too large a burden on Nina, as the star of TVD. Which is yet another reason why I don't understand the pairing--I doubt they're going to do much with it. I suppose they just want to show us that Katherine has a softer side, that she isn't all monster, but couldn't they have found a more convincing way to do it?

Carina said in her chat that Nina can't be on both show because you can't be on contract for two shows.....not sure how true THAT is, since I see people guest star on other shows all the time. The girl who plays Maggie on The Walking Dead was just in the latest SVU episode. I don't think Katherine will be on The Originals, but only because that would be A LOT of work for Nina.

I've actually been wondering if she's going to make it to the end of this season as well. I'm not going to bet on it one way or another, but I won't exactly be shocked if she does go to her demise at some point within the next few episodes.
