I'm still annoyed the Hayley is going to be the lead female. Why couldn't it be Caroline?  ME TOO!  At this point if CA cant go be Caroline I wouldnt mind them casting another actress for Caroline for the show. I have seen this on a few spin offs and if the chemistry is still right and the storyline is still perfection.... I'm still annoyed that Hayley will be going to the spin off and Kol won't.  |

@donna Which makes NO SENSE to me if Kol wont be there. Its called THE ORIGINALS so you would think...ALL of them...

That was an OLD article from a few weeks ago when Daniel Gillies was announced he was going to be a lead. The article mentioned how he was joining Joseph Morgan and Phoebe Tonkins and how right now The Originals seemed to be taking the same 2 vampire brothers 1 girl as leads formula as TVD. It didn't mention a love triangle whatsoever, and it was just the writer of the article commenting on that fact. Not Julie Plec.
Someone stumbled over the article and posted it, freaking out about a love triangle and I guess everyone just didn't read the article because it doesn't mention a love triangle at all. JP keeps saying there's a nice little twist of how Hayley is going to fit in with them, so I don't think it's going to be of a romantic nature. At least not right now.

Daniel Gillies said that there are definitely lots of flashback episodes in the works, and how they are going to show the past so that we can all see how they ended up how they are today and what "f-ked up stuff happened to them"...lol. He's got such a way with words.  So I guess they think having Kol in those is enough. Sigh. Sebastian Roche (who plays Mikael) and Nate were tweeting each other after the episode and SR goes "sorry they killed you son" and Nate tweeted back "like father like son #daggered" Hahahaha! Then SR tweeted "don't worry, we'll be back!". He's done a few interviews and said how he's love to come back for flashback episodes. Mikael was mean and evil, but I LOVE LOVE Sebastian Roche. So much. So I hope this happens. |

THIS^ the originals are not gonna centre around a love triangle, for sure. Just because Klefaroline are gonna be a trio but that doesnt mean its a romantic one.  And yes, Carina's take is irrlevant because she doesnt effect the show. I too am still bitter (never gonna get over it) how Kol doesnt get to be in the present in the spin off and hayley does. Just no.  |

I've come to the conclusion that the CW and Kevin/Julie have an enormous soft spot for Phoebe Tonkin. Seriously, that's the only way I can explain this Hayley as the lead desicion.  |

She might be the sweetest person ever but I just don't get their fascination with her at all. At least give her a character that is worth screen time. Sorry if this is inappropriate but my friend and I always joke around about the casting couch LOL |

exactly...I hope PT isn´t lead female character......
I still don´t understand why Caroline can´t be in spin-off....why does she have to stay on TVD? Why?
If this spin-off will really ruin Klaroline, I will never forgive them......not because they did spin-off, but because they didn´t include Caroline there......

There's been no spoilers saying he's going to have a love interest. However, I think it's pretty much definite that he will, rather that's Caroline or some other person. He'll be the lead, the "bad" brother who needs redemption. He'll get a love story. Yeah he's definitely going to have a love interest. We just don't know yet if it's going to be Caroline or a new character. Elijah's role in the show is going to be about him trying to help his brother reach redemption. With a story like that it's inevitable that a girl will end up being the reason Klaus wants to find his humanity again. |
