I thought we don't have to use spoiler tags in the watch party threads? If you're talking about something that will happen in a future episode. Eh....only 3 people read anyway. Ahh, ok! The Bonnie taking down Kol thing was just my speculation based on the promo for 4x12. Nothing that IS going to happen. Or better not happen, anyway I don't see Stefan and Elena getting closer while Damon is locked away, since 4x13 comes and they are all visiting some island together.

I thought Damon yelling out all that stuff was to warn Jeremy, not make himself sound scary or whatever? And I'm guessing they succeed in killing Kol next episode? Kinda sucks if they kill him off, seeing as he probably won't be in the spinoff.
Bonnie was awesome out of control with her powers. I'd love to see more of Bonnie like that. She was [censored].
Loved how Elena finally took charge and wasn't the damsel in distress lol.
Loved how Matt and Jeremy thought Damon didn't care, but Damon proved them wrong all episode.
I didn't get what was wrong with the plan Damon and Klaus had? It's ok to kill innocent vamps they don't know, but they cross the line at killing humans freshly turned into vamps? What was the difference? Either way was collateral damage, rather it was innocent vamps they don't know, or freshly turned vamps. Damon and Klaus plan was the safest way, so what was the problem?

Elena was very unlikable tonight. First she acts flabbergasted that Stefan is angry with her (duh! You slept with his brother!) and then she suggest killing possibly hundreds of innocent vampires right after Jeremy just said to her he didn't want to kill any more innocent people.
I also wasn't happy to see Rebekah following in Klaus's foot steps by threatening to dagger one of her siblings. However if that or permanently killing Kol are the only options, I'll gladly take him being daggered for a while.
Bonnie's scenes with Shane and her dad were pretty much the only thing I liked about this episode.

My thoughts about tonight’s episode. Not much really happened, there was a bunch of stuff going on but mainly it involved the search for that headstone and Jeremy running for his life. That boy did a lot of cardio tonight, first running from the vampires then running from Damon. Elena was (as usual) really annoying and presumptuous. Someone needs to tell her that love isn’t the answer to everything. I rolled my eyes so much when she tried to talk Damon out of his compulsion and said that he could do it because he loved her. If the writers had really gone there, I don’t know what I would’ve done. Bonnie is going dark and I’m loving it! After all these season of not caring about that character because the writers always give her sh*t storylines, I’m finally interested! I did hate that she was so trusting of Shane and thought he was being honest with her from the beginning though. KOL! I just love him so, so much!!! He was so fun to watch! I love how he’s a little psycho who doesn’t think twice about defying Klaus even after he’s threatened to dagger him again. That whole thing about compelling Damon to kill Jeremy while still technically following Klaus’ orders was great. KLAUS! My bb didn’t get much screen time this week. He was basically just there to help again, and LOL at Elena begging him to do it. I can’t believe they have the nerve to ask for help after all the attempts they've made to kill him. STEFAN! Ugh, I love this Stefan so much! He’s the best when he’s not “in love” with Elena. He needs to forget about her and move on and she needs to stop trying to make it seem like she controls his feelings. That talk about him being hurt and her apologizing... Like Rebekah once said, “Get over yourself, Elena. It's not all about you.” Which brings me to... STEBEKAH!!! The feels!!! Their dangerous flirtation was all kinds of hot. I’m a little worried that Stefan did indeed end up sleeping with her this soon, but she did say “no strings attached.” And the fact that he’s going to do something charming for her next episode , gives me so many feels!

Klaus calling Kol his "little brat brother" made me laugh harder. And want to claw at Klaus. But that's nothing new. I also loved Rebekah asking Stefan, "Was it my bastard brother or yours?" LOL Although, Klaus is literally a bastard so... not cool

The moral exposition of this show is TWISTED !!!! Utterly twisted. Especially when it comes to Elena and the MF gang. How's killing tens of thousands of vampires all around the world better than killing a bunch of new vamps? And ugh! When will these morons learn that going after an Original never ends well? And KOL! I'm worried about his fate too, Mandy! Can the writers kill off an Original now, what with the new show and all? I can't see any of the other Originals taking that lightly. Kol is the only one in his head but that's not how this show works LOL...at Damon rattling off in the tunnels! What was that, anyways? It seemed like he half wanted to personally kill Jeremy himself Terrible tone of voice, I suppose. STEFAN....just magnificent! He's just so much more intense as a character when he's not with Elena. Is it possible to hate Elena even more now after this episode? I definitely think it is!!! I can't believe she pulled that "why are you with Rebekah? She tried to kill me, you know." garbage...Again. I hate how she's always like "My love changed you. You should love me forever for that. I bring out the good in everyone. Please be like this around me all the time..." It wasn't much but it was great when Damon says something like, "Why? Because Stefan did?"..about fighting the compulsion. Maybe I'm reading too much into that. I'm starting to notice that they shoot Klaus' scenes rather well and differently...as befits this genius character/actor and to maximise the impact as well. Rebekah pullin out the dagger on Kol was too much...she'd gone too far and Kol was made to react appropriately. Nobody but Klaus is allowed to dagger the Original siblings! It just doesn't suit them

Did anyone else find Damon's tirade of insulting adjectives a tad unimpressive? The reckless-with-death attitude is just not doing it for the character anymore.

Did anyone else find Damon's tirade of insulting adjectives a tad unimpressive? The reckless-with-death attitude is just not doing it for the character anymore. I don't think they quite know what to do with Damon now. My favorite Damon is season 1 Damon and he can't be that with Elena. No one can be their true self with her, which is annoying. I saw glimpses of that Damon when he's go all vamp and go after Jeremy. But then he'd ruin it by telling Jeremy to run, telling Jeremy to kill him, blah blah blah. I know it was yet another attempt to show that DAMON HAS CHANGED, DAMON CARES but we know this already. I went on twitter last night and the things people were saying about Elena's plan to kill Kol were hilarious. Thomas Galvin (the recapper) was letting her have it.

That was a good episode!!!! First things first: KOL AND KLAUS. KLAUS AND KOL. bby Kol: was so amazingly sadistic and overall flawless. I didnt like how he compelled poor Damon though I love how he seems to really care about the state of his family. Kol, let me hold and love you. bby Klaus: From the eyerolling at Elena to calling Kol his little brat brother, he was perfect with his lines in this episode. Can I just say he looked SO FINE? SEX ON LEGS. UGH. STAHP IT, KLAUS. I just loved how he warned the 'Gilbert Clan' that bby Kol is coming for them. EL OH EL. Keep trolling, Klaus. I love him. Stefan: I was so happy to see him pull through for Jeremy. I was even happier that Stefan basically told Elena that she can't control his feelings. "You dont know how I look when I'm not in love with you" UGH. STELENA KINDA MADE ME WANNA CRY LOL I guess I had a bi-polar reaction to that scene. Sassy Stefan is awesome though. and STEBEKAH. that was hot.....I guess Damon: Guys!! His face when he heard Elena say 'ily' was adorable!! aww my poor damon though, he couldnt fight the compulsion and I hated it how Elena had that underlying thought that if Stefan faught it, so can Damon. I think he does care for Jeremy, but he just lets his love for elena overshadow it. Rebekah: I loved her outfit!! It was cute aha and I was enjoying her interaction with Kol/Klaus alot too ;D LOL @ her talking to Elena though. I love her. Jeremy: MY MAN WAS ROCKING THAT CROSS BOW. Seriously, he looked like a BAMF with it. I wanted to hug him though when he was bleeding really bad I am in love with his storyline, guys. and LOL @ him calling Kol 'mate' ;D Elena: *fuming* DONT FEED ME BS, GIRL. She said innocent people shouldnt die, then she wants to kill innocent people through killing Kol. UGH. SOMEONE STAB HER ))))) Matt: poor guy. cant catch a break. Shane: SHADY PANTS PROFESSOR STRIKES AGAIN. He was creepy in this episode, dont know why. and I HATED it when he emotionally manipulated Bonnie by bringing up Grams. Uhm excuse you! Bonnie: WOAH. she was AWESOME but scary. Just that emotion in her eyes. Great performance by Kat. I kinda got chills tbh. ;D and I found it interesting how Bonnie responded to Shane calming her down. He truly holds power/influence over her. Sherrif Forbes: Love her. She gets right into business. Bonnie's dad: HE IS BETTER THAN BONNIE'S MOTHER TBH. I love how protective he is. I missed Klefan and Klaroline but thats ok. Klefan returns next week! ;D

Kat, I loved your recap! Dee, I noticed that you assumed it was Kol who sent that guy to Shane's office and had him compelled to kill himself if he got caught. I think it's someone else. Just how Stefan mentioned maybe there was another team out there. And then we got that mention of Elijah? ?? Who is the only other vampire out there who can compel another vampire. I think it's him.

After this episode, I might have to be done with TVD when the spin-off starts. The morality of the show has gone completely backwards. Kol is trying to prevent the destruction of the world and our main characters are using that as a reason to kill him. I can't deal with watching the "heroes" act like sacrificing innocent people because it suits their current goals makes them the good guys. At least with the Originals they're not that self-unaware of who they are.

He really owned this episode, and I think I could give up TVD and just watch a show on the Originals. yeah, Stebekah! I know SE is sweet, and DE is passionate, but Stebekah was just hot. I was happy the way Stefan stood up for himself. So, just want to point out the Elena Gilbert logic also says that Stefan can't date Rebekah, because she "killed" her, Caroline can't dates Klaus because he tried to kill her, and that she can date Damon who "almost" killed her brother and did slept with her biological mother (and I was going to say Katherine, but Damon and Stefan were both human then). So this is the same logic that has Jeremy killing off Kol and all of his vampire descendants? Yep. Darn it, I am really starting to like Kennett. Seriously. Don't judge me. Okay, never thought that I would say this, but I hope that Klaus daggers Kol and stores m a coffin for safe-keeping from Jedi Gilbert.
