PROM NIGHT IN MYSTIC FALLS — After making a decision that infuriates Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) proposes a life-changing challenge for Rebekah (Claire Holt). Caroline (Caroline Accola) finds that her carefully laid plans for the perfect Senior Prom night are disrupted by Elena (Nina Dobrev), so she turns to an amused Klaus for a solution. Determined to get through to Elena, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) both attend the prom, but the evening begins to spiral out of control despite their efforts. When Elena suddenly lashes out in a way no one could have predicted, Matt (Zach Roerig) turns to Rebekah for help. Finally, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a terrifying discovery, and Klaus receives a message that could change everything. J. This is the prom episode from my understanding. And Tyler comes back for a dance with Caroline. A pivotal moment. I'd seen speculation on another thread on why he comes back..how, etc. And would like to move it over here. Do you think he'll see a moment between Klaroline? Do you think Bek will make it to the dance? Who's going with who? What color dress will April wear? Will she need everyone's opinion on it?  |

I'm afraid Klaus isn't even in the episode tbh. I haven't seen any mentions of him whatsoever and the fact that Tyler comes back makes me sceptical.
But I remember reading a few tweets from people reporting that Elena, Rebekah, Elijah, Damon and Stefan were filming together (outside Rebekah's house, I think), limos and formal wear involved.
Makes me think that Elijah will be his sister's prom date like the perfect gentleman he is...Will Elena go with both bros like at the Mikaelson ball? |

I thought I did read somewhere that Elijah was going to escort Rebekah to prom, to ensure that she finally, FINALLY actually got to attend a formal dance. I suspect Klaus is not going to be in this episode at all, especially considering the fact that Tyler returns. Unless Tyler is really, really stupid, or Caroline is dreaming, he won't come anywhere near Mystic Falls unless Klaus is elsewhere.

How long has it been since we've even seen April? Since Klaus murdered his hybrids? When Rebekah took the MF gang hostage at the school and Bonnie accidently hooked Shane to April. We heard her voice in 4x15. I think the actress has a role on another show. I don't know how big of a part it is. |

We know Joseph was around during 4x19, but he mostly talked Originals stuff. I am 50/50 on whether he's in the episode. There's got to be some sort of lead up to Klaus and Elijah (and Rebekah, I think?) heading to NOLA one episode later. Plus they are going to be making sure people are interested into turning in the next week. There's just GOT to be some sort of build up with Klaus. Then again, I'm also really iffy about them doing this Tyler this right, so this whole episode might be a complete mess.

im not looking forward to this ep. but I do want Caroline to be happy at prom so I'll begrudingly bare Tyler for ONE episode but he can go again after that. LOL  Im eager to see APRIL'S DRESS THOUGH. Im with Mandy on this one...there HAS to be some lead up for NOLA. |

I might be the only Klaroline fan who isn't bothered too much by this. If Elijah is going to be in the prom episode than that will make up for Klaus's absence. That actually sounds a bit fair to me since Klaus has been in way more episodes than Elijah. It's time Elijah stole the spotlight from Klaus for at least one episode.
And I hope those rumors about him being Rebekah's prom date are true. Big brother making his sister happy by trying to give her one night of a normal high school experience. That would be adorable.
