I'm afraid they may hook them up temporarily on Originals. I do think they're definitely still going to be bringing Klaroline into play (Plec has outright stated that the longing will still be there even after he leaves for NO, so they're not simply going to drop it), but Hayley may be a sort of distraction for him in the meantime. I really hope not; I don't think they will be endgame or anything like that, but I really don't want to watch Tonkin try and act her way through anymore sexy scenes. Seriously--painful. One thing that stood out to me, though, in the differences between Caroline and Hayley, was how she just went through and trashed on all of his artwork, even tossing it carelessly aside, whereas Caroline actually takes an interest in it. Art is something he is obviously very passionate about--I can't imagine Hayley's treatment of his went over very well with him. I also did like that Elena pointed out Caroline's naughty Klaus thoughts. I mean, we all know she's having them, but she has yet to admit to it. They are definitely setting this couple up: Hayley brought up Caroline twice, Elena called Caroline on it, Tyler pretty much broke up with poor Caroline (who really got hammered this episode)--Klaroline is definitely coming. I don't know if I want to see Klaus-Hayley in the spin-off. Personally I don't want to see it. Klaus may still feel protective of her but I'm sure there'd be nothing intimate. The chemistry is all wrong, I think. Maybe it's the wolf thing...I mean that's all I saw in this scene. Hayley attracted to the Alpha and yielding in and Klaus, well...he did treat her like his "little wolf" with the right amounts of generosity, partiality and harshness. I'd definitely like to see him with other women, preferably someone from his past...maybe one of his ancient wives! It's really difficult to build a new love-interest relationship for a character like Klaus. Klaroline was unique, THE ONE and lucky, and even that's not going anywhere right now. So I imagine love-interests will not be that great a priority in the spin-off. Random hookups will be great (as long as it's not Hayley again pls).

can somebody tell me why is Klaus protective of Hayley? Thats another thing I don't understand. Whats the point?
But If the point of sex scene was to see that birthmark, then I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It was poor writting. She could just wear a strapless shirt.

Haha Kat's all "I am never watching the episode again!" and I'm over here like "yes, I'm all alone for a few hours tomorrow, I'm watching it again!" I don't knowwwww........I think I'm going to have a problem with Klaus and women. And not in a "he can never be with another woman except for Caroline" way, but a "he needs to kiss every woman so I can see it" way. I seriously BLUSHED during the sex scene! And giggled. I sort of laughed through the whole thing, honestly, because I just felt WEIRD. Like, I was enjoying it but I knew I wasn't supposed to be enjoying it. Maybe? I don't know, I still feel odd. I think I just need some really good Klaroline scenes in 4x17. OMG....Mandy!!! LOL yes I feel that way too. Glad I'm not the only one. It did feel odd in another sense too...like spying on something deeply personal...lol. Aww...Precious Klaus!! Ever since the spin-off news, all I think about is Klaus and women. Come on...we NEED this!! He's a thousand years old...there's so much stuff to be explored in these matters. We need to know all of it and make a study of his sexual behaviour and proclivities.

And I forget, can all the girls just stop bringing up that Tyler usually flees town because of Klaus, in HIS PAINTING STUDIO?!!! This is the second time...there may have been a third I dunno. Another reason why I don't want to see Klaus-Hayley again is because I don't want Klaus having a thing for all of Tyler's girls. I ABSOLUTELY HATED it when Hayley was all like.."he'd have left Caroline for me" and "we can never be together"...what was the point here? It was terrible. DID.NOT.LIKE.IT. She may have liked him but no reason to sound so insensitive about it. Maybe she was doing it for Klaus.. (?)
And was it insensitive to have Klaus sleep with the very girl responsible for the fake Forwood break up? It looks like it but it's not. Kinda like some twisted ironic reversal of play and I love it! The sex scene was purely fanservice, I wonder how much importance will be placed on it in the story from the characters' perspective. I'm wondering what Caroline's reaction will be like and God help me if Hayley ever brings it up in front of Caroline. And Klaus was so OOC..what's he gonna say about it himself? Even if it's not that OOC as it is made out to be from his part, it's a personal thing. I can't see him addressing to this or even explaining it to Caroline. Please don't make this happen!
I'd like all of this to be just pushed under the rug and never have it brought up again. LOL

I don't think he'll feel guilty about it or regret it. Is he supposed to? No, not really. Why would he be? I have no idea why Klaus is so keen on protecting her. It was so strange, almost unbelievable. What on earth did she tell him? lol...maybe I'm missing something too. How exactly did she warn him about the hybrids without making herself seem suspicious too? It's just not adding up. UGH! This is the worst episode ever...after 4X12. Everything was so bland...maybe because the last episode was such an emotional overload in comparison. What have they done to Caroline's character? I think we could exhaust a whole thread on this matter. And Elena...I'm so disgusted with her!! How dare she says to Damon "And how many times have you tried to kill Stefan?" WHAT?!! She and Caroline don't even have an ounce of the brothers' history and emotional baggage for her to justify her actions this way. She's being her usual pathetic herself here. Some things will never change.

I want him to feel guilty, he should think before he does something.... no, he isn´t supposed to be guilty, but I want him to be...he loves Caroline, so he should at least a bit regret it.
yeah, nothing made sense......it was all so JP could force Hayley on spinoff......I really don´t know what will I do If Klaus and Hayley have sex again in spinoff.

Well Klaus and Hayley are related in some form so I doubt it'll EVER happen again. Talk about awkward. and lmao since so many people created badly so theres that too. I dont care if he feels guilty or not - he isnt caroline's bf atm. Theres a better chance of caroline being jealous but thats all. i feel like taking a break from tumblr.

please, can somebody tell me why is Klaus protective about Hayley? did I miss something? To be honest, I didn't get that at all. It seemed so random--he should want to kill her, technically, for helping to unsire his hybrids and turn them against him, and, bam, all of a sudden he's protecting her? Like I said, the whole thing was just very forced and poorly done, which irritates me, because he hasn't had a sex scene in two seasons, rare for a regular of the show, and they pretty much just throw it away on something that doesn't make any sense. I do get that he needs to blow off steam after how many times he's been rejected and how much Caroline has hurt him in the last few episodes, but they could have done it in a more realistic way, not, "Hey, these two are gonna' be on our new show, let's make 'em do it you guys!" I didn't really like the episode over all. It also bothered me that Caroline showed up at the party at the Salvatore manor after Elena purposefully dropped her while they were cheering, and she was all, "Look how much fun she's having!" instead of wanting to rip her throat out. I know any injuries she sustained during that would have been pretty brief, but that was still a really garbagepy thing for Elena to do. I'd have been super ticked, not admiring how free-spirited she looked. I did like the Stefan/Caroline moment, though. I don't ship those two, but I like their friendship. The Tyler thing has me worried, because Trevino is supposed to be back in 4x19, and if it's yet another weepy "we can't be together/I'm sorry/still love you" type of scene, that is going to be excruciatingly lame. They already had that scene, and the letter she received was a break-up--there's no other way to look at it. We really don't need to bring him back for yet a THIRD break-up, so I hope it's something else.

I think the reasoning behind (if there even WAS a reason) klaus protective of hayley is because she's like a member of his pack...he has control over her, just like his hybrids. Does that make sense? I mean, he offered Tyler protection too. But overall, Klaus acted kinda OOC tbh but I'll get over it ughh dont get me started on elena and caroline -_____________-

Could be, but I thought it was executed so poorly that even that explanation doesn't really work for me. I just think they were trying to quickly throw them together before the spinoff--it was poor writing. And I agree, I think he was a bit OOC. I'll get over it too (his dimples always bring me around) but I'm really disappointed in this episode over all. I hope 4x17 is better.

Regarding him feeling protective over her, I think it's maybe a few things.
First of all, what she did with the hybrids was nothing personal to HIM. If we know anything about Klaus, he understands doing something bad to someone without having mean intent toward them. He's done it, and said it, twice to Caroline. TYLER was the one who made turning the hybrids against Klaus personal because he wanted Klaus gone. For Hayley, she just wanted info on her family. We can argue whether or not that's a justifiable excuse, but I think Klaus probably gets it. I hope in the spin off that he tries to find out who is father was. And will he kill people and plot against people to do it? Yes. So I think at this point, all anger toward the hybrids - which we should remember he doesn't even care about anymore - is all directed at Tyler.
Also, at least we have confirmation that it was Hayley who called him for help and they haven't been sharing secret phone calls for months now. She called HIM for help, which probably stroked his ego. Then you have Damon barging in and demanding help, wanting to know where Hayley is. I think protecting her from them is also about just sticking it to the MF gang. I also hope he laughs when Stefan and Caroline come calling, although we all know he'll give in there.
While I found some things odd, I didn't really feel like Klaus was totally OOC. I mean, we've seen him be that exact same way with Caroline. He can be charming, flirty, etc when he wants to be. I think what people are upset over is that they are now realizing that Klaus can (and is) that way with other girls beside Caroline.
