That's the thing about Vampire Diaries--just because a character is dead does not necessarily mean they're going to stay dead. Although is Vaughn considered supernatural still, now that the tattoo's gone? I guess so since Jeremy's ring didn't work on him after Silas drained him--the tattoo business was already done with at that point.
I'm really curious to see whether or not this veil's going to be lifted, and how Caroline will deal with her part in making it happen.

Im really protective of Caroline right now LOL there's hate on her because she lifted the veil...uhm sorry, she was saving her friend. *huffs* and Im also protective of Klaus because apparently that last scene was ooc for him even though he was just deflecting because he's hurt. *huffs again* Leave my bbs alone. Anywho, I dont think Vaughn is supernatural anymore.

I don't blame Caroline for what she did, though I am curious to see how she'll deal with it. I also didn't think Klaus was OOC--what he did was kind of spiteful, which seems exactly like Klaus to me. Plus, I got the impression from the look on his face that he regretted what he said, particularly because I don't think she would have been opposed in that moment to Klaus taking her in his arms, which means he missed an opportunity, and I'm sure he knows it. But Caroline has just piled on the hate too much for him to have been nice to her in that moment.

Im not gonna lie...I wanted them to hug SOOO BAD D: but as soon as Klaus started talking in that sarcastic tone, I knew something else was being done instead. LOL I have hope they'll hug next week though eeeeeeeek.

I did too, but I spoiled myself slightly by taking a peek into the 4x17 episode thread before I actually watched the episode, so I knew he was going to give her the cold shoulder in the end. I was still all "KLAUS WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW IS YOUR CHANCE STUPID!!" though. lol
Good things are coming next episode, let's just remember that. I'm actually not ruling out a kiss between them in 4x18 now, although prior to this episode I doubted we'd see it this early. I'm not betting on it, but I also won't be surprised. This episode FINALLY showed us something from Caroline's end, and there's no way they're not going to bring that into play somehow in 4x18. Plus, shirtless Klaus in the same room as Caroline this time...we can't really go wrong there.

LOL yes I yelled at Klaus AND Stefan. but yeah, Caroline's feelings are increasing and becoming more apparent so it'll certainly appear in 4x18 once more. and speaking of sexy shirtless klaus....Jose Molina tweeted there's a ALOT of that next week with Candice Accola.

...I'm giggling like a little kid just thinking about it. I was squeeing pretty hardcore last night thanks to the promo shots alone, so God only knows how I'm going to get through the episode itself without spontaneously combusting.

Does someone has read the books ?
In the book klaus dies when elena brings him to the purgatory
The Silas' story in tvd talks about this purgatory, is there a possibility that the writers make something similar of season 3 (with the ghosts). Maybe ester, mikael .. could come back and take klaus. This storyline is similar to what happen in the books. Because if the spin-off doesn't work I don't think they are going to keep klaus or the originals in the show... There is a new villain now and the writers probably think the show has needed to move on to another thing

They are on 4x21 right now (come on, Jomo, tweet something about work!) so they CAN'T kill Klaus at the end of this season. If it didn't get picked up (VERY unlikely) then they'd probably still have him off screen in NOLA for the beginning of season 5. Joseph might not even want to come back if The Originals doesn't happen, and I wouldn't blame him.

The show is SO far away from the books at this point...we shouldn't count on the books' plot much IMO. Trying to be as realistic as possible, the chances of the spin-off NOT getting picked up rn are about...0.01%. When the president of the network goes to the writer about the project instead of the other way round, there's already a HUGE advantage. It's obvious everyone in the CW is very invested in this potential. The only problem would be if the pilot tanked in ratings, but this is highly unlikely. TVD's ratings have been very stable this season and my feeling/prediction is that the pilot's ratings won't be much different than any regular episode's. Anyway, even if the 0.01% possibility happens, I am sure (as sure as one can be with Julie Plec ) that she has no plans to get rid of the Originals. Both the writing team and the audience love them too much. Mayby they would be onscreen less regularly though. Why do you think Joe wouldn't want to come back, Mandy? This is a philosophical question btw, because the spin-off is definitely getting picked up.

TVD is the highest rated CW show, so I'd be very surprised if it didn't get picked up!

I'll be shocked if the spin-off isn't given the green light, but I suppose nothing is for sure in television. That's why everyone needs to show up in droves for the pilot episode, because think of all the opportunities this new show opens up for shirtless Klaus, you guys.

This is a philosophical question btw, because the spin-off is definitely getting picked up.It's just a feeling I get. He's already admitted that he was planning on approaching them about a spin off, but they came to him first. So he was already getting that itch to get away from the MF setting. He's been selling this spin off as hard as he can, he's definitely something he WANTS. I don't know, I'm just not sure I could see him coming back to TVD like he is now. I'm sure he'd do guest appearances and stuff, but he's just WAY to good to play second string and get 7 minutes of screen time per episode. Maybe it's my own bias, because I want him being nominated for awards and winning things and getting all the spot light.
