I know Klaus is going to face a lot of repercussions for his actions in this episode, but can we just take a second to appreciation how freakin awesome those kill scenes were? Nobody can say anymore that Klaus is not a scary dude.

With a SWORD, no less. It's like...medieval massacre but totally modernized! It was sick. I enjoyed it. And I feel dirty for liking it so much and being so turned on. But...I'm not sorry.

Nobody can say anymore that Klaus is not a scary dude. He was AMAZING! Those scenes made the episode. I can't rave enough about them and how great Joseph Morgan executed them *shivers* And Dee, you make perfect sense. That scene was very eye-opening and so great because at this point everyone has been treating Klaus like a monster. I'm glad both Stefan and Caroline realize that they're all the same.

I was thrilled to finally hear Stefan and Caroline acknowledge that they're no better than Klaus. It's about darn time! Now I'm hoping that was a hint that the relationships between Klaus and the other main characters will become less hostile in the future. It's getting really old watching them attempt to kill /dessicate/etc. Klaus over and over again.

Let's all PLEASE stop this killing Klaus nonsense because it's never worked. Also, Klaus honey, just go kill all the witches (except for Bonnie since I was getting some Beremy feels) since obviously you can just be put into random people's bodies at a drop of the hat. But yes, Klaus was AWESOME. I've watched that scene about 10 times already. I just can't get enough. I do wish we would have scene his vamp face because we don't see it enough, but he was smoking hot swinging that sword around (Dee and KStew, I know what you're thinking ). And the blood splattering all over his face when he killed Kim. Whew.

And then Stefan wanted to see it again but he couldn't find it cause Klaus said he wasn't allowed to see it again? Then Klaus attacked the hybrids with his swo.......Okay. I'm going to far.

Also, I know the majority of us love Klaus regardless of what he does but I still want to say this. He hasn't changed, he's still a "bad" guy so we shouldn't be surprised when he goes off the rails. Just because we have seen his human side with Caroline doesn't automatically mean that he's completely different and no longer a threat. Tyler was working against him, Caroline and Stefan betrayed him, how else was he supposed to react? He can't change who he is just because he has a crush. I'm going to say what I've been saying all along (I know I sound like a broken record) but if they didn't want any trouble they shouldn't have gone looking for it. The gang should realize that they messed with Klaus and now they're paying the price. Especially Tyler, he should have been prepared for the consequences and accept them. Also, Tyler thought they were just going to entomb Klaus and forget about him? Like his blood isn't still the cure for a werewolf bite. Were they planning to drain him before that? I bet it didn't even cross their mind because this group never thinks things all the way through. I know it was Tyler's mom and when they find out he killed her, Caroline won't be happy. But, Klaus' actions were justified (in the context of the show). We can't apply real life morals to it because these characters are living in a completely different world than ours. There's nothing wrong with recognizing (and we should) when something is wrong; i.e. Damon's abuse of Caroline, killing people purely for revenge, falling in love with mass murderers LOL. But we shouldn't expect the characters to react in a similar way we would in a real life situation. I still think the K/C ship is going to happen, eventually... but it will. P.S. Sorry for the essay. It just bugs me when people think Klaus should be a goodie two shoes just because he likes Caroline. LET ME LOVE YOU! ...hey, where's Kat? I never ever thought about Klaus being a "good guy" just because he's infatuated with Caroline. I never wanted or want him to change his evil ways, either. NEVER. I've said it, and Joseph finally agreed that there may be a level of compromise but is he too stubborn to do it? Honestly, even if it sacrifices the potential for Klaroline to become canon, I'd rather Klaus stay Klaus - warts and all. Mellowing him out is just not lawful. thats all nice, but do you think that Caroline would want to be with him? Even with morals aside, it seems unlikely.

Right now? No. But people change. What Caroline wants at the moment may not be what she'll want in the future. Some kind of compromise will be made in order for the relationship to move forward. Either Caroline will become a darker character because of Klaus or some of her goodness will rub off on him. The latter seems to be what the writers are going for.

I hope you are right and that "future" will not be Season6.........though there is still question how long Klaus will be "alive" on the show with these constant plots to kill him....

I'm just patiently waiting for a gif or a meme to come out on Tumblr about Klaus showing Stefan his sword. It's a mighty fine sword. Nice and sturdy and good for tearing things up..... lol Just tell me when to stop guys.

I'll post before I get a chance to read the 2 pages I missed... STOP DEE!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I was thinking last night before I went to bed. Amazing huh? Not only was Tyler thoughtless to Caroline in his criticizing her for telling Stefan and leaving her with hybrids who just wanted to kill her the episode before, he was rude to say he didn't want the cure to happen because it would be bad for his pack. What about Caroline. The girl you supposedly love. She wants it for Elena and what if she wants it for herself?!

Mandy, Stew & Dee, I think Klaus was channelling the Bride from Kill Bill. ;D It was awesome and bamf. He looked rather sexy, especially in the last scene with Carol. He wears blood well. /*pause for shrieks of horror*/ What dampened my mood was how unhappy he looked while slayin' away. Poor bb wasn't feeling so christmasy. His short conversation with Stefan chilled me to my bones. He knew about the betrayal then, didn't he? Hayley must have told him. He gave Stefan a chance to come clean and he didn't. (Btw Mandy, you can like Stefan when you'e on team DE!) Of course he'd kill Carol. He killed Katherine's whole family. I feel like people are constantly underestimating what time he's from and how it has shaped him. The Originals are from a time when vengeance was basically law. It's their MO. Even Elijah killed Trevor for revenge. Why is this show so reluctant to admit that people are products of their time? I'll be honest, this episode didn't give me the feeling that KC is going to work out. Not because of Klaus but because of Caroline. But no matter how much I'm into KC, I'll pick Klaus over Caroline if I have to. Especially when she's written like she has been in the last few episodes. As for this one, I see two options: a. It's inconsistent writing that has Caroline cheer and laugh at the prospect of burying Klaus in one scene and talking about her daylong () guilt about the plan. Which we see nothing of until this point. b. Candice is sabotaging Caroline's scenes with Klaus. Mean accusation? Probably, but it's the only other solution I can think of because I'm having a hard time imagining that the director told her to be 100% happy during the bathroom scene and suddenly remorseful at the Salvatores'. That's a 180. I'm with Mandy. Get him another girl if this one keeps plotting to kill him. Let's be realistic. He's not a virgin. The episode was a mixed bag. Because all lakehouse scenes, including DE, fell flat I blame part of the awfulness on the writing (though I found Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie extremely flat in their acting too). So what I'm thinking is that the themes (loneliness, betrayal) were very well developed, but the relationships were a mess. Even the great scenes (Klaus/Stefan, Hayley/Tyler) were about themes rather than relationships. As for Rebekah, she and Team Tyler will be on team anti-cure now. Not happy about a possible team up.
