I think I'm the only one left who doesn't want the hybrids to die. But I guess if they're unsired, they're useless to Klaus now anyways. Ho hum...
I'm a little afraid of this storyline sacrificing 12 souls and using this "expression" magic. I don't want any of my lovelies dying from this stupid Silas thing Shane was going on about. Then again, if it gives him powers of necromancy...BRING BACK ALARIC!

I bet Klaus will finish the job when he finds out she almost staked Caroline. He might even be [censored]ed that Tyler decided picking a fight with him was more important than protecting Caroline. I meant it'd be interesting if Hayley or Tyler [censored]ed up and killed one of the hybrids and they had to step in for one of the 12 unsired hybrids. It'd be like their own bravado did them in, KWIM.

rating was only 2,42million.......which is lowest of S4 so far.. I read some SE fans boycotted the episode. Now that the sire bond has been confirmed maybe it'll be different next week. What was TVD "competing" against ratings wise? Anything new on TV at the same time?

I've said it before, but noone ever listens to me. The CW doesn't care about the overall viewers. The 2.4 rating doesn't matter much. What matters is the rating for the 18-49 adults demo, which was actually adjusted up to 1.2 (from 1.1 originally). It's still season's lowest but it's also still the best performance by any show on the CW this week. All is good in TVD land. I read some SE fans boycotted the episode. Now that the sire bond has been confirmed maybe it'll be different next week. What was TVD "competing" against ratings wise? Anything new on TV at the same time? I think 4x07 managed to displease almost every part of the fandom. I've seen SE fans saying that they didn't watch because they were angry about the DEx (yes, that's what it's called). I've seen DE fans saying that they didn't watch because they were angry about the sire bond twist. I think they only fandom which was completely happy with 4x07 was ours. ;D

We listen to you Tania. Their demographic is 18-49? That's a wide range. I thought I read before that the last number was lower. We were discussing it on vd-net because I'm outside of their intended demographic. I think a few other people in that thread were also outside the demographic.

Mayby CW's target demographic is smaller (like 18-30), but the ratings that get published every week consist of two components: total viewers and 18-49 demo. I don't know if networks have access to more detailed ratings (per age or gender). It's likely. Tip: This season's highest rated episode in terms of total viewers was 4x04 "The Five". It was actually the highest rated episode since January.

Tip 2: Season 3' s highest rated episode was "Ordinary people". I see a patern there.

Wigs. It's all about Originals in wigs. There. Fixed it for you. ;D Salvatores' wigs could never. Or, you know, it could be a coincidence.

Even the dead animal on Klaus' head in 3x08. Apparently uniforms don't cut it, which is a shame. Damon looked rather fetching in his. But for a flashback episode 4x08 was underwhelming.
