I really think the idea is that anyone who is not on Team MF is labeled a "villain" even if they show humanity and stuff because again, they are not team MF. I see the Originals not as villains, but as another group existing along side team MF and doing what they have to to survive. Because as has been point out, Team MF have done bad things to the Originals, and the Originals have done bad things to Team MF. Why is it that everyone has to be labelled as either good or bad on this show? Why can't they just be seen as people? That would make things a lot better.

But, again it's the vision that the producers want to show in the serie. The right being : Mystic Falls team (vs) the wrong: being the Originals. I don't like that at all....For me, there is NOT one single character in that serie that did not do something wrong at some points since three (3) years. And boy did they do horrible things! The worst of all actually all involve the Originals. They killed Finn just to get rid of Klaus. They didn't care at all that his four siblings would die along with him. So Elena cared about Elijah. Wow. Humanity award for Elena - except she didn't feel bad for the other three siblings. Their next plan included wiping out the entire vampire population except their own bloodline. Isn't this worse than every single plan Klaus has ever had? This is basically vampire genocide. Agree 100%. Even Caroline was all "sorry Tyler. You're not a priority to them" and he just accepted it.
