I can see the parallel gif sets now... 'Klaus and Caroline saving each other, 4x13 & 4x18' UGH. CREYS. I think the fact that Caroline ends up helping him (whether reluctant or not) will speak volumes to Klaus and he'll be so overcome with emotion and everything will be rainbows and butterflies and UGH. Creys again. I agree with Aeidail, those weapons gotta GO.

I used to wonder if Silas's blood was the cure itself... Yeah...and we have yet to properly lay eyes on it.
All throughout the season, I was worried sick (still am) about that indestructible stake exchanging hands every now and then. How come it's so hard to hide a foot-long piece of wood? JUST LET KLAUS HAVE IT! And then Kol died. Now Silas comes along and just snaps it into two pieces. Great! I wonder if only Silas is able to do that...doesn't make sense though.
I just want to go through the tv screen into the TVD universe, find that stake and have it sawed and shredded. And then you all can watch me walk into the sea and scatter the shavings over the waters, accompanied by a Celtic score in the background. And I'll bring back the daggers with me. Who wants to come with me? LOL we should all go in...we can visit Kol's grave and pay our respects. For Jer too. And we can give Shane a proper funeral and say some nice things about his passion and his curls. I know Mandy will sneak off later to purposely run into Vaughn somewhere.
Seeing Klaus like this is giving me lots of anxiety (it makes a nice change, I agree and he's SHIRTLESS, for goodness' sake) but I don't want to see any of these weapons flashing about in the spin-off....ever again. Hahahaha! That made my day! Yes, I am in. The same Celtic score can play when I round a bend and see Vaughn standing there in the sunlight, probably shirtless, with my name on his lips. It shall be magical. But yes, the white oak stake needs to be destroyed before the spin off. I know some people have complained about Klaus being the lead because "omg, he's undestructible, no one can kill him, what's fun about that?" but I think it's GOOD that it's not going to be a daily dose of "kill the main characters!" like it is on TVD. Especially when you know the leads aren't going to die..lol. I'm just hoping it's not TOO much of Caroline lording over him the fact that she can choose to help him or not. And if she uses the chance to try to bring Tyler back.... Wouldn't it be funny if she did that, Klaus finally agreed, and then Tyler stopped by in 4x19 and was like "LOL, no." and then left again.

Another one of those sites that takes spoilers and puts their twist on it. I don't see how Caroline can refuse to help him, especially since he is the head of their bloodline. Unless the get Bonnie to find a way around the bloodlines. Silas said "Missed it by an inch, but I don't want to kill you just yet". He was very close to Klaus' heart. When Stefan got staked at Abby's house in S3, he told Elena she needed to help him get the stake out before it shifted and got to his heart. So, I'm guessing Klaus' stake could move to his heart. Especially if he's desperately clawing at his back. I thought the stake was indestructible due to Alaric's "gilbert ring" and Esther's magic. So, even if you guys shredded and scattered it, it could technically come back to life . Just like Alaric and Jeremy did. Until 4x15. Edited to say: Everyone here seems to think that Vaughn will be in 4x18 because he is credited. Steven McQueen and Michael Trevino are credited for 4x18 too on IMDB. Is this because they are regulars?

Yes, McQueen and Trevino are credited for all episodes because they are on contract for the whole season. If you look at Charlie Brewley's imdb page, he's only been credited for the episodes he's actually been in. So to be credited for 4x18 means he'll be there in some aspect.

If it's close to his heart, then he probably is in danger of it shifting, so he needs to get it out stat, for the sake of everyone. And yes, the stake is supposed to be indestructible. However, Silas didn't technically destroy it--what's to keep someone from resharpening it? All he did was break the tip off. Maybe the stake can be damaged but not destroyed. Or did Esther's death affect it in some way? I can't remember if that was ever pointed out on the show. Maybe her magic has failed.

Ok please don't shoot me but I won't hate it IF she repeated what Klaus did in 4x13...sure the motives and reasoning is different but one thing that's consistent is the REFUSAL to help. So yeah if Caroline does that, I'm not gonna curse her from left and right, no matter how much I love Klaus. And vice versa. I may be alone in this but that's just what I think But I really don't think the reluctence is strong because we see her looking GENUINELY concerned and holding pliers. His pain will break her. Haha I'm prepared for all the "LOL she only helped him because he's the head of the bloodline" but once we see tender moments, they'll eat their hearts out

I couldn't blame her if she let him suffer a bit, considering how painful a wolf bite is. I don't think she will, though. I think she's going to feel sorry for him despite himself.

She'll have to approach him as if he's a scared puppy though. MY POOR KLAUSY Do you think the stake was dipped in something to CAUSE disease?

Now I keep thinking crazy scenarios and you know how JP likes to mess with us.

Hmm; the stake being dipped in something to cause disease is an interesting theory. It doesn't really make sense as to why merely being stabbed with it would cause him to be diseased--we haven't seen any other vampires experience illness after being staked--just pain. Maybe 4x18 will explain this somehow. She is indeed going to have to approach him very carefully, especially if he's a little unhinged and thinks she's a hallucination.

How does a STAKE cause disease? I agree it'll be explained in the episode but Im just so curious, you know? Hm.... He can be really unpredictable so I do fear for Caroline too. But Im more scared for Klaus though how does caroline see him like this? does she just randomly go over? LOL

I'm curious how she finds about his predicament. Does she stop by for some reason? Does he eat a massive slice of humble pie, call her, and ask for her help? Does she swing by for some reason? And if so, why?

And if so, why? I dont think they have each others' numbers. Maybe she stops by because she forgot to ask him something about what they did with Stefan the other day? I have no idea LOL.

In the promo shots, is he in his house or the Salvatore mansion? I just remember a fancy fireplace. Maybe he actually shows up at the Salvatore's looking for help; Caroline spends a lot of time there. Although, now that I think about, I think in the picture which shows Caroline holding pliers that she and Klaus were standing next to an easel? I can't remember for sure.

I think it's his house. I remember that fireplace very well...from when he burnt his drawings of Caroline and also when he forced Stefan's hand into the fire (like punishing a misbehaved vampire-child...haha love Klaus!) I'm curious too as to how Caroline shows up at his house...perhaps he does call her for help. Or it could be that Stefan sends her over to his house to extract his help or some information and she finds him like that. To think, Klaus must have spent the night trying to take the stake out himself, suffering random bouts of hallucinations and dreams in between.
