I also believe Tyler was there just to help get the KC scene where it needed to be. I mean, he dropped her off in the floor and just left...lol. Thomas Galvin made a joke about how Tyler was like "YOU watch our girlfriend die, I'm going home and watching sports center"..lol. This was not to show how much Tyler loves Caroline (because we already know this) but to show that KLAUS is capable of love. JoMo called it an "arc" which means we're going to see more of it. Bringing this back because apparently even some Forwood shippers think the same. I've been reading episode reviews and I've seen a couple of them complaining that instead of making Tyler more active in Caroline's rescue, the writers used him to validate Klaus' feelings for her and reinforce the KC dynamic. So it's not just us who saw that.
