Yes, especially when they could have put kol down with a dagger to keep him temporarily safe. I'm wondering if Bek is feeling guilt because she's could be thinking that if she'd handed the dagger over sooner, Kol's death could have been prevented.
Was anyone surprised a baby vampire and a not yet tough vampire hunter got the best of an Original?
I dug the "Oh $***" look on Jeremy's face when he realized Klaus witnessed it all. Not digging the expression on Klaus' face especially that he was stuck outside and couldn't help.

Can we not talk about looks on peoples' faces? Cause right now the only one I see is the look of being good and dead and bloodied to the point of being unidentifiable on Elena's face.

For the most part I'm happy about it too. We don't have to worry about Klaus and Elijah now. I'm just a little nervous about what this means for some of the other characters. I can't find TVD nearly as enjoyable now because I'm worried about my favorite ship, whether or not Rebekah is going to be moving to the spin-off, and if Kol is going to be alive to join The Originals in more than just flashback or ghost form. There's both some good and bad about the spin-off being announced early.

Dee....Does your expression match Klaus' expression in your avatar? Kefan: I didn't think you knew about {Spoiler}the spin-off from your comment and that's why I spoiler tagged it. The back-door pilot will air on April 25 as a regular episode of TVD. They'll pick it up based on reaction, but I'm sure it'll be picked up too. {Spoiler}

I can understand them having a problem trusting Klaus...really, but this post on Tumblr:
1. Klaus offered to protect Jeremy. They slammed the door in his face
2. Damon was locked up so Jeremy was NOT in danger from the compulsion
3. Jeremy was only in danger after they let him in. Because they had a trap to kill Kol
4. Because Elena had no problems with killing…

Can Elena be any worse? So nonchalant about all the vamps around the world dying, automatically thinking stefan would dagger Rebekah, talking about once they have the cure they'll use it against the originals, acting like killing Kol was the only option and telling klaus that like he should understand, being [censored]ed when Stefan DIDN'T dagger Rebekah, questioning how they can trust rebekah after SCHEMING HERSELF THE ENTIRE EPISODE. I am done with her. I hope at the end, the Salvatore's run far far away.
The saving grace is that the Damon/Klaus scene was a total "setting up Klaroline" scene.

Lots of people logged in, but no one talking. i think we're all still fuming.
Plot points that bug me:
1. A baby vampire and not very experience hunter overtaking a 1000 year old Original?
2. Damon's bad because it gets things done? I'd debate some things were necessary to get things done: Lexi, Mason, Andi, Vicki. Snapping Alaric and Jeremy's necks.
3. Rebekah being that easy to forgive and forget.
4. The shirt ripping scene. Bonnie...put your eyes back in your head.
5. Elena: Rebekah deserved to be daggered....Ummm..OK.
6. Kol and Elena got burned by the vervain in the water, but Bek could take a shower.
7. Why didn't Kol try to compel Elena to figure out the plan instead of calling Klaus?

I"m so [censored]ed you guys. I just finished watching the episode. I was so sure that Kol would make it out alive, and get daggered at the most. I can't believed they just killed him. RAGING!!!! The only two things that saved this episode for me were of course Stebekah, because they were just adorable. And Klaus actually asking how to get Caroline to forgive all the wrong he's done. Now, wasn't it a nice surprised to all of us who doubted the advice wouldn't have anything to do with Caroline? But then I think of them killing Kol and I get angry again. It's a good thing I'm gonna be out of town this weekend. I need a break from this BS. |

I am not sure if I want to cry or shout. I love Kol. He is snarky and charming, and way too experienced to be caring a dagger around with him. Didn't he have his own coffin he could have put it in? So, leaving Klaus trapped with his younger brother in the Gilbert house. Sending a killer over the edge, again. As if the 12 hybrids turning on him wasn't enough, now we to worry about what seeing Kol die is going to do to him. Kudos to everyone who questioned Elena on this. I can't stand her now. Yeah Stefan for not daggering Rebekah. Yeah, she sort of made it to a dance! Caroline, even though you were absent (What were you doing instead of setting up for the dance, are you still helping Tyler?), you were there in spirit. And, I can't help but think that seeing Klaus torn apart by losing his brother would have caused her to feel something. I wonder if she is going to comfort him in the next episode and Tyler has words with her about it... Speechless, stunned, and waiting for the days of romantic vampires instead of the crazy selfish ones. |

I'm actually REALLY glad Caroline wasn't in this episode. If she had been, she probably would have been in the plot to kill Kol and then I'm not sure where Klaroline would be. Klaus threw all of his drawings of Caroline away the first time she helped them attempt it....not sure what would have happened if she had helped and they actually succeeded. Gotta love the TVD writers for bringing a little humanity to klaus about the carol thing. He might not feel sorry about killing her, but they made sure to show he's nervous and sorry about what Caroline might think. I am SO optimistic about Klaroline right now. {Spoiler}I hate that Tyler's face is going be all over their scenes, but maybe he'll go to another room or something and they'll get some sort of privacy. if only so she can tell him sorry about Kol. Still nervous about the {Spoiler}tyler/klaus fight outcome considering those two gilbert idiots took down Kol.  . I'm hanging on to how much Klaus fan girled over the episode as a good sign That should say Jomo, not Klaus.  |
