I thought the Tyler chase stuff was lame and anticlimatic. He didn't even catch anyone, and when Caroline found him he had already changed back. Rebekah was [censored] tonight, she should be like this every episode from now on. The truth and dare stuff dragged on too long, and it was only basically Elena playing Rebekah's game. What happened to Stefan releasing truth bombs of his own? Or Caroline? Good point, Elena did get picked on. Guess Rebekah is still upset Klaus chose the doppelgänger over the family. I think we all thout someone was going down with the chase scene. Kudos to tyler for reeling it in. Did anyone notice Caroline seemed to have blood on her hands while she comforting Tyler? I through for sure that they were going to flashback to her getting bit or something. I am surprised that she did not follow Stefan and Elena, thought Elena was going to kill her when she got a moment. Caroline can judge, and she can gossip, she did when she was human, and her own words recalled "being a vampire doesn't change you" or something. And since stuff like that happens in high school.....they are being accurate to the emotionally stunted Caroline, Stefan and Elena.... I do feel for Rebekah, would like her to have a little romance that she desires. Was hoping she would even make it to a dance. Was it me or did they throw Kol and Bonnie in there like that for the Kennett fans, or did they actually plan it that way? And also, Bonnie doesn't have her dads last name?

Oh they totally threw in that Bonnie/Kol moment in for the Konnie/Kennett fans. I do not approve. I never understood that ship. At all. Thin air, much? I'm just mad neither of them [Stefan and Elena] thought about Caroline. Like, even when wolfy Tyler left, they were just relieved. Hello, your friend is still at risk too. Way to remember her. Jerks. Didn't Bonnie not ever like her dad or something? I thought I remembered something being said at some point of that context...

I think Paul was also talking about Damon and Rebekah. Stefan and Damon have grown closer in the last couple of seasons. There used to be a huge rift between them and that's going to resurface again because of Damon swooping in on Elena right after her and Stefan broke up.
Stefan has also had the opportunity to get to know Rebekah more and he can see things from her perspective a little more now. His opinion of her has definitely changed in the last couple of episodes. After Elena stomping on his heart a couple more times in this episode Stefan won't have any hesitations about befriending the girl who caused the car accident that turned her. Elena will probably see that as a betrayal but Stefan rightfully wouldn't have a reason to care.

Dee, don't you jump back on that fence! I spent way too much time and effort shoving you off! I don't know. I can see how people who like Forwood would have been melting and gushing over that scene. I guess I'm just heartless because I literally sat like this and thought "we've seen this scene before when he first turned. Oh, and then again at the end of season 2". I saw a tumblr post that was like "Damon, you can have Elena, but you do not get Klaus! NO." Hahaha. Does Kol having the white oak stake make anyone feel better about his odds on dying in anytime soon? Pretty much me as well throughout that scene, except I was rolling my eyes the whole time, I'm surprise they're still in their sockets. I'm glad Kol took the stake, at least this time I'll remember who has it About the episode: - Not enough Klaus (like always)
- That Forwood scene, just NO.
- darn, Elena was harsh! I know she was compelled and Rebekah wanted to hear the truth but she didn't have to be a cold-hearted b**** about it.
- Stefan needs to find a new girl *cough*Rebekah*cough* His sadness broke my heart tonight.
- Elena better not give Damon sh*t for being himself after whining about how Stefan treats her like a broken toy that needs fixing. She does the same thing to Damon, always wanting him to be good and stop being his evil self. Practice what you preach, girl!
- Klaus and Damon make the best team. I love their banter.
- Caroline was kind of blah in this episode, literally the only thing she did was text, complain, run, and comfort Tyler. What are they doing to her?!
- Also that whole transformation thing was disappointing. They didn't even actually get attacked or defend themselves against Wolf!Tyler
- I'm confused about Prof. Shane, I don't know if he really just wants his dead family back (zombies? ummm) or if he really is connected to (or is) Silas.
- Kol was awesome! Ugh, love his so much!
- Rebekah is THE BEST.

I don't recall Bonnie ever saying she doesn't like her father, but the few things she's said about him makes it sound like they're not very close. I remember Sheila saying something about Bonnie's dad not liking how much time Bonnie spent at her house.

Hmm. I don't know, I'll have to look it up. I thought I recalled something about her being at her dad's one weekend or all summer and it being torture. Or something like that. IDK.
@kstew No, no, no! Did I mention NO?! Klefan > Klamon! Also, about the transforming, why didn't we see Tyler full fledged as a wolf? CGI musta been that bad. xD

Did I mention NO?! Klefan > Klamon! Also, about the transforming, why didn't we see Tyler full fledged as a wolf? CGI musta been that bad. xD In one of the episodes Jeremy was talking to Bonnie via video call and she was talking about it being torture to be with her dad's family. It was when Jeremy started seeing ghosts. I've see an article where JP said she was thinking about prom. You might get another dance yet I wondered for a bit if it wasn't an accident that April started suffering what Shane was suffering. Like perhaps they were connected before Bonnie did her spell. I just keep rememberikng what Connor said in "The Killing": But Bonnie seems to think she accidently hooked them. If it was a protection spell then why did April suffer and need vamp blood to save her? April amused me. She alternated between different personalities. Angry, confrontational, dumb, and smart. WTH with literally taking notes and looking for stuff for a flow chart. And why was she looking for stuff for a flow chart in a science lab? Why did Stefan think it was better to send them out into the hallways of the school when he knew Tyler was running around as a werewolf? Also, I thought Rebekah mentioned something about not running around the halls. So, at first I assumed they couldnt' do that. Caroline was irritating to me this episode. The turning into a wolf scene was unneeded. Looked cool in the promo was all. When I saw Tyler lying naked in the gym, I thought "Hmm....did he have to light all those candles for warmth? Or did they leave them lit from Carol's memorial. What a fire hazard! My last thougt was "Hmmm..Tyler's turn for a shirtless scene. It'll be Damon's next. and WTH with Carol's memorial being held in the HS gym. Carol must be turning over in her grave. I could understand them wanting to support a student, but the sheriff was leading, not a principle and didn't she announce the new mayor at the memorial? I'd wondered how Bonnie recognized Kol and someone on Tumblr pointed out that she'd probably seen him all desicated in his coffin when he was daggered and she was trying to spell the coffins. And Elena was shooting Caroline those looks because Elena had specifically told Caroline not to tell Stefan because she wanted to be the one to tell him. Caroline had felt she was Stefan's "sponsor" to keep him from going ripper and would've felt she was lying by omission.[r:0]

@kstew, I agree with everything you said. Of course Klefan will always be my baby (cue Mariah) but I do enjoy some Klamon. They bring something different to the table. Seems like we have them hanging out for the next 2 episodes.
I'm wondering what Damon meant when he told Elena he was going to make her do things she didn't want to do? Some are speculating that he's bringing her there to watch how him and Klaus are training Jeremy...but to what purpose? To once again show her he's the "bad one?". Sigh.
Can we just talk about how hot Klaus looked this episode? I mean, did he just get more attractive or is it because we hadn't seen his pretty face in so long???

Donna, the protection spell reminded me of season 1, when Katherine had her witch bind her and Elena's life. So when D/S started trying to kill her, Elena was also getting hurt. I'm assuming it's the same spell, only Bonnie didn't know she'd done it.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about Katherine and Elena being hooked together. But it was more of a "You don't want to hurt me because you will be hurting Elena" reasoning. I was curious and I looked. That looked like rock salt and rock salt is not flammable. www.sciencelab.com/msds.php?msdsId=9924972Apparently neither is table salt.

It's possible that the spell worked the way it did due to the fact that Bonnie is using "expression." It could be a side effect or a consequence of this type of magic. Bonnie isn't relying on her ancestors to help her on the other side. So without their help, maybe her magic now involves utilizing (up to draining!) the energy from her surrounding environment, which includes people. On another note, did anyone else think that having Caroline casually wandering around the school with that huge stake - and texting away - was silly and OOC? The Caroline and Stefan that I know would be practical enough to know that Rebekah would be expecting them so the chances of sneaking up on an angry Original would be very low so they would take some precautions and do a bit more planning. Why wouldn't Caroline at least set her phone so that her buttons wouldn't click when she hits them? I disabled that on my android the first day I bought mine. And doesn't Caroline own at least one coat or purse that she could hide that stake in?

I don't understand why Stefan didn't call Klaus ASAP to tell him what was going on. Klaus has a far better chance of getting his sister under control than they do. You're right, I don't know why they thought they had a real chance of staking her.
Plus, why on earth would Stefan want to kill Rebekah and face Klaus' wraith? That makes no sense. He knows what Klaus did to his own hybrids, what he is capable of when he is angry. Klaus may be mad at Rebekah but daggering her accomplishes what they both want - her out of the way for the time being. If Caroline/Stefan would have murdered Rebekah that would have sent him over the edge.

Plus, it's been pointed out before...What about his moral speech to Elena about the 1000s of vamps that would die if Elena would have staked Bek at that party? And Caroline and Stefan's talk about "We're not better than them".
The whole Tyler wolf thing could have been avoided if they'd walked over and snapped his neck. He'd just take a temporary nap.

I'm so late to the party! This episode was strangely awesome and fulfilling in many ways. -Klaus didn't have so much to do but yeah, the scene with him growling and leaning against the tree made up for it. It was just..um, thrilling. Oh my Dee...best avatar yet! -What blew me away was Paul Wesley's delivery of the line "Go to hell!" For a second, it felt like I was watching something else and he was responding in a different scene entirely. That stunning! Stefan's pain and sadness in the episode was just...heartfelt. My poor Stefan! I also like how by the end, he's all like, "Fu** them and their sirebond. I want to find the cure for myself." I imagine that he'll realize that Damon needs the cure more than himself and gives it to him. I know, it's sooo TVD but I want to see the human Damon! -Wonder why it took some time for Bonnie to recognize Kol...girl, you don't forget an Original's face! Anyways, great part. Explains the weirdness of that scene in the promo. -Forwood TM...have they run out of ideas to shoot a scene with them together? I felt for poor Tyler! Admit, I've started to like him more ever since he chose not to stand with the MF gang anymore. I hope he stays that way! Okay there's one thing that's singular to Tyler...it's the transformation stuff. Trevino does it well...I imagine it must be a very hard thing to do. -Rebekah stole everything. But she got her classic-Rebekah moments too...like when she's in denial over the Silas thing, Kol filching the stake from her and when she indirectly expresses the hurt over how Klaus has treated her. - Speaking of which, the intro had that bit of Klaus daggering Rebekah... so, i DON'T want to hear Elena commenting on Klaus' actions like that! Just NO to that. We had enough of that in S3! "He killed your mother, Rebekah!" "And he lied about it, Rebekah!" "He must pay..." whatnot. Seriously, that intro bugged me. Sorry. -Delena was great! I was hoping to see something like that ever since they got together. So glad Elena finally, oh my god! finally admitted her feelings. -Great stuff with the new character, April's performance and role, Caroline's "seriously" and Bonnie etc. Also this episode came across as really different to me...cool filming and it had this general over-all new feel which was fun. Who directed this episode?! -Klamon. Damon got his moment there by shooting Klaus. And around the camp fire...it felt so eerie-like what with Klaus walking up behind Damon like that. One of the best shots! I must go see that again. Klefan is the best, aww!... Klaus felt the need to say that it took him three days to quell the urge to go after Stefan. ;D -So not worried about Rebekah's agenda to cure Niklaus. She wouldn't see that through and I can't imagine Klaus turning human. It's scary, you guys! He'd so emotionally crushed and devastated. He has seen and felt so much over the years that he has literally exploded. Unlike the other Originals, Klaus hardly seems like a man, he's become something else...some nameless entity/contradiction. He will probably end his own life. -The Cure really doesn't feel like it's a potion or anything to shove it down someone's throat. Shane was kinda endearing, wasn't he? "This is such a trip." lol. Awesome episode!!!!! Maybe I just liked all the stuff Rebekah put Elena through...darn satisfying!
