As for the rest of the episode, I'm like most here and think "meh". I miss Ripper Stefan. I miss Alaric. I miss freaking KLAUS. How did they not even mention him?? The Tyler/Caroline scene wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Instead I just sort of rolled my eyes, because hello high school! The girl not really feeling it and the boy finally pulling out an "I love you" to make her change her mind.  That Connor guy is sort of hot! JoMo was right about his voice! I'm interested to know why Jeremy can see his tat. Calling it now. Jer is going to be making googly eyes at April here soon. I totally got the "If you love me youd do it" vibe too Did you notice the tattoo on Connor is the one Jeremy has in the promo picture? The ones where Klaus has the snake etc etc? |

Yep.....We weren't imagining that mmmm....Klaus was excited. And we'd noticed before that he'd never let anyone else drink directly from him. I wonder if that was his plan before he walked in to her room. Are we ever going to get to see a discussion of what happened in the forest of 4x01. Or will it be in off-screenville? Likely off screen. If the whole blood sharing is supposed to be so intimate, I'm intrigued now to see if it comes into play in any other ways. i.e. - in True Blood, you drink from a vamp you get sexy dreams about them and are suddenly attracted to them without cause. I don't see that necessarily being a side effect but any kind of side effect would be interesting. If not, humorous. I'm just keeping my mouth shut to all the Forwood comments as I know I'm my own minority here. But I can't say I agree that Caroline's seeing things differently now JUST because of Klaus entering her mindset. Give the girl a little credit, no? |

You can see just by the way she was treating Elena in the episode that she's maturing all on her own.

At this point, besides maybe having a small attraction to what Klaus has offered her (and an attraction to him, because COME ON!  ) I don't think she's thinking at all about leaving Tyler for Klaus. That will come later..mwhaha  I think she was just thinking like an adult there. Like "we have lost all these people and we are about to go to a memorial for them" and Tyler was definitely not in that mindset. |

Yep. Poor thing. Not sure how I feel about her yet. But I can take this ONE moment - and I promise I'll be done after - to say...MY FORWOOD FEELS! Okay I'm done. Caroline gets the MVP award this episode. She was just the best. And Matt gets the BFF award. Seriously, I want him to be my friend. Damon gets the snark award. Glad he's back to that. And Alaric gets the I MISS YOU SO MUCH award. Seriously that end scene was the best ending of an episode yet. <3 This^^^^ Yes! Stefan and Damon spent too much time having a [censored]ing match and then Caroline comes in at the end and has the most positive impact with Elena. Yeah Girl Power! Yeah Matt. Damon is looking at you in a new light now. |

Seeing ghosts is not an ability everybody develops once they've died and been brought back to life. Before she turned Elena died during the sacrifice. Alaric also died a bunch of times and was resurrected thanks to the Gilbert ring. Seeing ghosts seems to be an ability only Jeremy has so far. I can't remember if there was ever an actual reason given for why he could see ghosts. Was that supposed to be one of the punishments from the dead witches because Bonnie brought Jeremy back to life with magic against their wishes? |
