Does it bother you if you see a FF and it is clearly plagarizing from a book? I found one that they just changed the characters names to TVD characters and edited some parts out. Or the FF would start to be book length? I havent' read the book, but looked at "Look inside" on Amazon. They even titled the FF the same as the book. On the bright side, I have something new to add to my library request list. I think it might be there today.  |

The name of a TV show, characters that are fictional book, places, and even most of the words in the story are from the published book. You can see some of the book on Amazon "look inside". I didn't pick it up from the library yet. I like AH or AU stories as long as they stay in character. |

I don't read a lot of fanfics, myself. There are very very few that stay in character, and if you're going to go way OOC, I kind of feel like, what's the point?

I like AH fics way better now than the regular vampire fics. The ones I've read manage to keep the characters IC, but I agree that if you aren't even going to attempt to write them IC, what's the point? Isn't the reason you like that character because of their portrayal and characteristics? Most of the Delena/klaroline fics I've read are IC. Those are the only ones I read. If I feel like they are OOC I stop reading and look for something else.

At first I didn't like those, but I've found a few that have made me come around. At first I didn't connect that the author was plagarizing. She mentioned the author in the comments and then I was seeing people's reviews about "why don't you change some things to make this your own story" Then I looked and found the book on Amazon. |
