My husband had some crazy idea about us going out with our daughter on New Years. No way! Too many drunks out and way too late. I'd much rather stay in my home, relax, and watch stuff on TV. Oh, and I already sent him out to get some snacks, including ice cream

When I was a teenager, I used to say that I wanted to go to Times Square on NYE. A friends older sister, that used to live in NYC, said "No, you don't! Don't take anything of value such as a wallet. And if the crowd wants to move to the left and you won't to go to the right..Tough!"

I'm wondering if it is time to put the cat to sleep, but I don't think everyone thinks the same. She's 19 years old. She's only ate a few bites today. I'm giving her SubQ fluids again.

That's something that's hard to approach if not everyone is on board. My parents put their dog to sleep a few years ago and it was rough on me, and I hadn't even lived there since I was 19!

I'm so sorry to read that. That's the main reason that keeps me from getting a pet right now. My uncle had to put his 13 year old dog to sleep two years ago, it still makes me incredibly sad and he wasn't even mine...

My uncle had to put his 13 year old dog to sleep two years ago, it still makes me incredibly sad and he wasn't even mine... She's ate some twice today. Her eyes are runny. I'd probably feel worse if she hadn't lived such a long life and I wasn't afraid she was suffering in some way. She's never been a big cat; 8 lbs maximum. But she was down to 5 the last time I took her to the vet. She's like a skeleton with fur and skin. It was upsetting to me when I had to put my 13 year old cat to sleep 3 years ago. I didn't expect it and thought she'd outlive the cat that is now 19. She started smelling funny over the weekend and was sticky. I started noticing blood around the house and her behavior changed. She was lethargic and hiding. I took her to the vet expecting them to say she had a bad tooth. She had advanced oral cancer.

Why does my husband insist on playing garbage music when I have a headache? My hand is pounding to the music.. if you can call it that.

Those that pray please send prayers or positive thoughts about my 19 year old cat. She's not been eating. Wondering around confused and agitated. Is still drinking. My husband has been grumpy about her, but when I asked him if he wanted me to take her to the vet today, he just said "I don't know!". I'm sure he knows what they'll tell me. It may sound rude, but I'm hoping she dies today on her own so that she won't suffer long.

You're right about the suffering though . It doesn't sound rude to me, it's the truth.

She's still alive. Has taken a few bites and drinking good. Gets aggravated at times when she doesn't have a lap even though we have a pet heating pad on the chair for her. Trying to hold my tongue at a FB friend. She declawed her cats a few months ago because they were scratching her kids when the kids wanted to play with them. The kids 4 and 3. I'm of the train of thought that declawing is wrong because they have to amputate at the first knuckle. From what she's posted before I'm sure she lets her kids play with them rough and then blames it on the animal. Today she posted that she went into her 4 year old's bedroom and found her crying with a huge scratch on her face. She offered the cat to anyone that wanted it. When I asked about the declawing, she said it still had the back claws. Hmmm...Your 4 year old got scratched on the face by a cat's back claws. Couldn't have been holding it down and have it close to her face?

Took my cat and husband to the vet and they talked him into euthanasia. My oldest child wanted to make sure that she had time to say goodbye to the cat, so we rescheduled a time to come in this evening for the procedure.
She was down to 3lb 11 oz and her body temp was down 2 degrees below normal. We'd thought the reason she wanted to constantly sit in a lap was she was feeling cold!
My husband wants to bury her in our yard instead of letting the vet cremate her. Luckily the snow is almost melted and it's supposed to be 60 in the next few days. My youngest child wants to think about getting a dog. Hubby said he'd have to think about that for a while.

I can't wait for TVD to start back up again. Thursdays just aren't the same with it and now that I'm hooked on Beauty and The Beast, I have that to look forward to as well.

I was watching it some after TVD, but fell off the wagon. I think the last one I watched was when Vincent blacked out and woke up on the top of a skysgarbageer. The cat is gone. Digging a hole tomorrow.
