I almost had a freak out last night! My husband and I usually just dvr all the shows we watch and then watch them later. The only show I watch live throughout the week is TVD and even then, it's also recording. Last night the hubby was checking to see when our basketball team plays in the SEC Tournament and we realized that here, The CW is the one showing the tournament, so Thursday night is nothing but basketball games this week. Holy moly, you should have seen my face. But then I remembered that Arkansas didn't use to have a CW station, so a couple of years ago I had called and had it added to our package. I can't even remember why I did, but I know my husband was deployed at the time and I wanted to watch something. So I did a quick search and it was still there, my random NYC CW Channel. Whew. Crisis diverted. Also, for anyone following my "baby has a rash" story. Took his booty to the doctor today and got a steroid cream for it. Fingers crossed it works!

Keep an eye on that channel, Mandy and I hope the baby's rash problem was sorted out. What are you guys gonna do for TVD tonight? Any special arrangements? I get the live episode somewhere around 4 am here but I catch it a couple of hours later. And tomorrow, I'll have to be at my aunt's house later to help her a bit cuz she's throwing a lunch party for her friends and I think I'm supposed to be co-hosting. That's not going to go very well, lol considering that I'll want nothing more than just to be left alone, fangirl and drown in my feels!! Whatever happens, I'll be an absolute wreck, for sure! I know I'll be seen stuffing my face with food and goofily smiling at everyone in a daze.

My Thursdays are always a mess. It's right in the middle of bedtimes here (ahh, mommyproblems) so it's usually a mix of trying to get them to bed earlier so I can watch it in peace or just letting them stay up til after it's over. Since tonight the hubby will also be watching a basketball game at the exact same time, I predict everyone will just stay up later. I'm barricading myself and the baby in my bedroom to watch it, though.

Does anyone have Amazon Prime? Do you watch videos through it? How does Amazon Prime work?

I was watching a few episodes the other day from S1 and wow, TVD has changed so much since its beginnings. And so many characters are gone now. I even miss Uncle Zach.

I need to go back and re-watch the first season--I haven't seen it in so long.

Right before season 4 aired, I went back and started watching from when Klaus was first mentioned (season 2, episode 9 if anyone is interested..lol). Season 3 was just glorious. The introduction of The Mikaelson's. Klefan. The beginning of KLaroline. Klaus being so Klausy. I hope to see Season 3 Klaus in the spin off. I understand why they had to make him a little more calm in season 4 because they have to find ways to keep him around one more season. But then I watch episodes like 3x05 and how EVIL he was and I just swoon.

But then I watch episodes like 3x05 and how EVIL he was and I just swoon. You know, as much as I adore his interactions with Caroline, I love love LOVE him when he is being evil. I just can't help it--something about the accent, the dimples, the pure homicidal rage--they just all come together for me. I am probably severely messed up. lol

I think that is because even as a villain, Klaus has dimensions and layers. If he was just a cartoony villain that was just bad for the sake of being bad and had no redeeming qualities, I wouldn't care about him like I do.

My family talked me into another cat. Yikes.
I was surprised at the one my husband fell in love with. I guess it was because it had some personality qualities he liked from our cat we put to sleep a couple of months ago. She likes laps and washing people and bumping your head with hers. She's also really gentle. What surprised me is my husband has wanted a kitten. But this cat is 9! We tend to keep cats alive for a while, so we figure we have some time with her. The cat we put to sleep recently was 20. We still have a 15 year old. We put one to sleep 3 years ago due to oral cancer and she was 13.
We have her in a separate room and I don't think the other cats have figured out she's hear yet. She's so quiet! My oldest daughter is sleeping with her.
We decided we actually like the name the shelter gave her and will keep it. Juliet She was a stray. Weird that a front and back declawed cat would be a stray. They hold them for a week before putting them up for adoption to make sure no one comes in to claim them.

Somebody probably dumped her somewhere; if she was declawed she had a family at some point.
My parents live right next to a gameland, and stray pets turn up all the time there, because people just drive them out there and dump them. It makes me so mad. At least take them to the pound, you know? If you can't find a no-kill shelter, at least at a shelter where they do euthanize them, there is still a chance somebody might adopt them before they are put down. If you dump them, they're going to starve to death or get eaten by coyotes.
