Oh, or how she left him at the end of season 3 and told him he would be all alone?". To Klaus, they were still in that fight. For her, she thought he was dead and had moved on from that. That's a good point. We know how unforgiving he is about these things. I wonder if Klaus knows the details of Elijah's deal with Elena. Does he know Rebekah agreed to leave him in that coffin? Because that would not sit well with thim. I have to side with him in that case. Being daggered is like sleeping. Being dessicated means you're aware but immobile. That's horrible! As sad as I am that these two broke up, the following weeks are going to be interesting. They haven't really learnt how to be without each other or let the other one go. Will they be spiteful? Will this breakup be good or bad news for everyone else? Should we worry about Caroline's safety? According to Julie at least for the foreseeable future they are in this fight. Rebekah is all alone while going back to school and supposedly Klaus tries to fill that void with other people (damon?) I see it as a good thing, actually. That is, if you want your villian(s) to have layers and more than one side. Some people would like the originals to just be evil. If you want them to have layers, like I do, then seeing them vulnerable, missing each other, regretting their actions, etc can do nothing but make them more interesting and make you root for them even more. But yeah, I could see Bek taking out her anger on Caroline..eek!

I have to wonder how many times the two of them have given those speeches to each other? The two of them are so stubborn. Maybe some time apart will give them an opportunity to miss each other and remember what they mean to one another. For Rebekah especially, I think she is going to feel very alone because she has spent so many years at Klaus' side.

at least for the foreseeable future they are in this fight. Rebekah is all alone while going back to school and supposedly Klaus tries to fill that void with other people (damon?) That sounds like Klaus. It was pretty obvious Stefan wasn't just a friend. He was a substitute brother for the brothers he'd lost. He also seemed to care less about Stefan after he'd undaggered Rebekah. And as much as I hate to say it, he only moved in on Caroline after Rebekah was back to her coffin. Tami, I agree that these two must have had countless ugly fights. But I still think this fight was special because she laid her cards on the table and he did not reciprocate. Again, that's very Klaus-like. She said the magical ILU and he didn't. That's always a recipe for disaster.

Dani, I LOVE that video! Thank you for posting it. Yes, cashima, I think that this fight has put a real dent in their relationship. Too bad Bonnie can't whip up a magical spell to fix it It's a shame that Klaus couldn't step back and put himself in Rebekah's shoes for a moment. All she wanted was her brother to acknowledge her feelings rather than dismissing her. And to be honest, I think that Klaus was really having a bad day and basically being a real bear.

I think that the desiccation, white oak staking - which left his body looking pretty charred, soul switching with a rival, Caroline being in danger - twice, and doppelganger death really shook him up emotionally. I think that Rebekah caught him at a time in which he was feeling very overwhelmed and vulnerable and she was feeling pretty much the same way. For the two of them this is a bad combination.
When one of my sisters is in one of her "moods" I definitely avoid her if I'm feeling grouchy myself. We know each other's weakness too well and it is easy to push those buttons when stressed.

I agree! I think he'd had enough at that point of everyone and was packing up to just go, and was obviously planning on bringing Rebekah along with him. And then she had her tantrum and he he ended it with his..LOL

I never thought of it like that. I'm thinking maybe he CAN'T make vamps anymore. I mean, in order to make them, he has to make them drink his blood and then kill them. And then they have to drink Elena's blood or they die. Unless that only happens when he bites werewolves? If he bites a human would they be just straight up vampire?? SO MANY QUESTIONS. LOL. I do agree about the fact that Rebekah doesn't really need saving. I guarantee it's because she's a girl. If Klaus had left Elijah, no one would have batted an eye since we know he would have taken care of business and saved himself.

Regardless of whether she can defend herself or not, up until this point he has always taken care of her. Times are changing. He's found another girl to take care of. I don't think Rebekah ever counted on that happening and she doesn't seem to understand it. She takes Klaus saving Caroline not as a sign that he cares about Caroline but that he doesn't care about her.
