HE VAMPIRE DIARIES — (8:00–9:00 p.m. ET) “Down the Rabbit Hole” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)
CHARLIE BEWLEY FROM “TWILGHT” GUEST STARS AS ONE OF THE FIVE HUNTERS — On the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn (guest star Bewley), and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan (Paul Wesley) confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena (Nina Dobrev). When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Kat Graham) recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane (guest star David Alpay) is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin (guest star Camille Guaty, “Prison Break”). Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter’s Sword is futile without help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle. Claire Holt also stars. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by Jose Molina (#414). So after Tyler picks a fight with Klaus in 4x13, he has to turn around and ask Klaus to help him decode the sword?? LOL, oh my sides. The thing that bothers me is that somehow Tyler and Caroline are going to come out victorious from this and get a hold of that sword. Like, is Caroline going to distract him again so Tyler can steal the sword from him? I don't even know how to piece it together.

Hmmm.. It's going to stick? Not a death and then get resurrected. They didn't list Kol. Matt wasn't listed either.

My guess is it's a major character if it's really going to have that big of an impact.

My guess it's a major character if it's really going to have that big of an impact. You posted as I was editing. I guess Matt's not a major character. He's not listed. I wonder if it could be someone who wasn't a choice in that poll below the article.

I say Bonnie. Kat and Nina tweeted each other after they filmed episode 15, talking about how heartbreaking and epic that episode was. Plus we have seen pics on set from Nina and Paul, Ian took a pic of episode 16 script, and we all know Klaus is going nowhere. Or maybe Jeremy. i won't get my hopes up about Tyler. KStew, that is my fear too. Tyler somehow wins this stupid fight in 4x13 and gets the sword. At least he's got to tuck his tail between his legs and go to Klaus for help, but that won't make it much better. Someone convince me otherwise! Joseph LOVED the episode, so there's that.

Also, Josh (snatcheaterase) posted here he saw a tweet from a professional cheerleader that she taught @candiceaccola some moves. But when is this death coming? Maybe it's after what they're filming now?

Yeah, I thought about that tweet as well. My first guess is Bonnie too. Kat saying it's a death that will "stick" makes it seem like it will be permanent so I really doubt either of the Salvatores will be dying, not with at least 2 seasons of TVD left.

Donna, since CM keeps saying someone takes an EXTENDED leave in the next 5 episodes, I'd say sometime between now and episode 15. Silas DOES bring anyone back that died on his behalf, so if they die for the cure, it's probable we'll see them again toward the end of the season. i wonder, with the spin off starting potentially this fall, while the Silas story be complete at the end of the season? I would laugh my butt off is Silas is woken up and all the Originals are like "yeah......see ya later" and head on down to the bayou .

I think the death is going to be Jeremy tbh. Isn't 4x15 the super emotional episode that made both Ian and Kat cry? And Kat tweeted at some point that she had blood in her hands and tears in her eyes while filming that. Based on that tweet I don't think it's Bonnie (the blood in her hands implies that somebody died on her, and I doubt she would tweet something like that about her own death). And I don't think it's Damon because there's no way his death would stick for more than half an episode ;D. But it has to be someone whose storyline is connected with Bonnie (and mayby Damon), so I doubt it will be someone like Caroline or Tyler (too bad ). Jeremy seems like the obvious choice, really.

Also, having "blood on your hands" is another way to say that you killed someone. So maybe Bonnie accidentally kills him? Based on the 4x14 synopsis, Bonnie is seeing things?

I also have this dream that a pack of werewolves suddenly attacks and half the gang dies while Klaus is having fun with Marcel in New Orleans. ;D Seriously, these people should pay for trying so hard to kill my babies the Originals. And I think the "major absense" that Carina teased about will be whoever dies. No matter the hype about a major death that will stick, I think whoever dies will come back eventually...It may take a while, but they'll be back. That's what the Silas storyline screams to me.

Well, I have wondered why a new hunter is coming on the scene. But there are supposed to be 5 hunters. And I don't know if they meet up with Vaughn in MF or out of town.

Well the synopsis says that Damon runs into Vaughn in the island. Even though the island is supposed to be deserted... also, I'm wondering if Shane seeing Caitlin is also a hallucination
