As long as he STAYS the bad guy. That's all I want. That's all I hope for. That's all I NEED! Hey how come there was no mention of approaching Nate for the spinoff? Our poor Kol is always so neglected As long as he doesn't get killed off in 4x13 (dear God NOOOO) then I think he'll be in it. JP probably got him up to speed while he was filming. I do wish reporters would ask about it, though. Unless they all know his fate. Ugh, just so nervous about his fate. I feel pretty comfortable about them keeping Klaus the bad guy. I mean, if they wanted to turn him good, just keep him on TVD and let him officially join the gang. You know? But keeping him bad is also not working on TVD because the gang simply can't continue to fail to kill him and Klaus is quickly running out of people that he can kill on that show...lol

I know. I just don't want him to become like...the hero-esque kind of villain because he's the lead now. Like, exactly how he is and always has been is how he needs to stay otherwise it just won't work. Besides, I don't think I've ever seen a show with a REAL bad guy as the lead and doesn't make them go soft at some point, usually because of a love interest. I'm so over that storyline, I just want to see what it would be like if the protagonist is the guy no one should ever be rooting for or believe in. The guy that no one should trust and would kill in the blink of an eye. It'd be so goddarned intriguing and Joseph could do it so well. Oh and about Kol...uhm, he better not die. I will write a letter! (is that threat getting old yet? no? good. )

I just really want all the Originals to be a part of it! It's a chance to explore their story and learn more about them. I get that they're testing Stebekah (which I'm totally down with) but I'll be really disappointed if the rest of the siblings don't tag along. If it comes down to keeping Rebekah on the show for Stefan or sending her to the spin-off, she needs to go to the spin-off. Although I like Stebekah, I'd rather have her in one of the lead roles on a show about her family than being kept in a guest character role on TVD for a relationship that doesn't have a chance in hell. This. If Stebekah have sex it won't last long because, as soon as SE sees light at the end of the tunnel Stefan will dump her for Elena. And I like Rebekah, so I'll rather she don't have sex with Stefan and just go to the spinoff. But I'm starting to worry now because lots of people are speculating Stebekah will have sex, and I don't want her to be used and then once Stefan has a chance with Elena, Rebekah gets tossed aside again. Eugh, why do they write such [censored]ty sl's for Rebekah? I just want her to go to the spinoff and leave Mystic falls, maybe the sl's over there will be better for her.

I do need Rebekah to have some redemption. She's been beat down and abused so much. She needs some happy in her life. Which is why I love that April is her friend. She needs a friend. A real one.

I'm worried about the mention of so many females. Well, I don't think they'd pair him with the character that is supposed to be 16. Even more worrying is no mention of Kol. I'd also prefer Bek in the spin-off instead stuck in the triangle of doom.

There's no reason for teenagers to be hanging around the original family. I guess they need to do it in order to appeal to the younger audience as well, but....blah.

FINALLY, Julie speaks! Good to get some info directly from the source rather than random media outlets. I found it interesting that they have apparently been contemplating a spin-off for so long. I remember either Kevin or Julie being asked about the possibilty last year (after the entire Original family had showed up in TVD) and the answer was negative, but I guess it was a 'no, not now' instead of 'no, never' answer. This makes me feel a bit better about the spin off, because previous reports made it sound like Julie had no such intention whatsoever until the CW president went to her. Although I like Stebekah, I'd rather have her in one of the lead roles on a show about her family than being kept in a guest character role on TVD for a relationship that doesn't have a chance in hell. This.I was a bit worried by how cryptic Julie was about Rebekah, but I hope she just wants to not spoil everything (seriously, too much stuff has gotten revealed already) and keep us guessing for a while. I can't imagine the spin-off without Claire getting somehow involved in it. As long as he STAYS the bad guy. That's all I want. That's all I hope for. That's all I NEED! I don't think they'll ever make Klaus conventionally "good", but as the show's lead they'll definitely try to make him more relatable than he was as an antagonist in TVD. And if the show turns out to be successful, I could see them slowly making him more of an anti-hero than a villain. Julie has already mentioned that she occassionally has thoughts about a redemption arc for Klaus in the long run. We'll see... And I'm still confused about Julie Plec's involvement. At first I thought from her response that she would run the new show while Caroline Dries runs TVD, but then she mentioned Narducci...So will Dries run TVD and Narducci the spin-off? With Julie supervising both?

Interesting. From the interviews I'd read she'd say "Well, that is up to the network, not us".

Idk, my memory isn't really my strong point so it's likely that I'm wrong. ;D I found it weird that the journalist wouldn't ask Julie about Kol (he is part of the original family after all) or Klaroline. I mean, yes, Carina informed us about that, but you'd think that since it's by far the most popular Klaus relationship on TVD, EW would acknowledge them somehow...Mayby Julie was afraid that if she talked about it she would make the shippers angry? Someone let her know that carina has already done this job for her.

This worries me. Surely she wouldn't kill the only girl of the family and Klaus' closest sibling, right? Cause that would be a very bad move.

It's now down to which tv show she'll end up on. I still say she'll make the trips back and forth for at least half the season. I'm torn. I really like Stebekah, but I can't see them lasting long when Elena decides she wants Stefan back.

Just let her leave and go with her family on the spinoff. Since Caroline likes Stefan so much, let her sleep with him and be a fling.

I think she'll end up going to spin-off, I can't imagine her still in TVD after Klaus is gone. I'm torn too, I always wanted Stebekah, but only if Stefan didn't love Elena anymore, which I don't think the writers would do.

That was my assumption too. She just doesn't want to spoil what happens to Rebekah for us. I can't imagine she would refuse to put Rebekah an Originals spin-off because of Stefan. It's not like everyone doesn't already know how a relationship between her and him would end. He loves Elena. Rekindling a past romance with Rebekah wouldn't change that.
