Kat!!! Ofcourse Klaroline is endgame...I have a feeling that she'll tell him this season that they can't be together. Perhaps in another world...time...another century etc. And I'm still 90% certain that Caroline will appear in the spin-off for Klaus but in the meantime, we can get to know Klaus better and see how his character looks as the MAIN character!! We know he's gonna feel so so different...I just want him to roar and run wild!! *overwhelmed tears* His character is the most important thing right now...not love-interests. We can watch him thinking about Caroline, maybe even mention her once. And his interactions with other women will be all kinds of interesting/revealing. Klamille, most likely, is going to be that mentor-student relationship we often talk about. We can hope that she ends up sired to him LOL What are people saying out there? I hope no one's tying him down because of Klaroline. LMAO @ overwhelmed tears klausy can be bad to his hearts' content I'm ok with camille and klaus having a teacher student thing And people are mostly upset and worried about this development tbh. I feel those emotions too once in a while but my gut tells me KC will be fine

While Klaus still pines for TVD’s Caroline Forbes, nonsupernatural psychology student, bartender Camille (Leah Pipes), who’s drawn to the same dark painting as Klaus in Jacksons Squire, could catch his eye in the future. “Without a doubt, romance would always be key in The Originals universe” says Plec.
oh please JP don't take the klaroline's story to put camille with klaus the same things with paintings... I'm worried about the futur of the klaroline

Sounds like TVD and the stories of Elena's many suitors. I like this take on the EW article: link -- Tumblr

I think it's becoming obvious which side of the Klaroline fandom each person is on. I don't think expecting romance to be a part of The Originals means it's going to be TVD 20. It's a CW Show. EVERY show on this channel has storylines based around romance. I mean, everyone is wanting Klaus to keep having feelings for Caroline during it, which means romance has to play some factor there or how are we to know that? One of Klaus' main character traits is the fact he believes no one will ever love him - it'd be silly to ignore that whole side of him and just focus on whatever villain of the season he's fighting. So, having romance being a key point doesn't bother me as long as they keep the brothers out of a love triangle.

Well, it is definitely possible to have a CW show and not make romance an important element. Supernatural, anyone? That show's been on the CW for years and we've seen a share of girls (mainly Dean one-night stands) but they've never made romance a main element of the show. However, this is JP we're talking about and the fact that she already said "romance would always be key in the Originals universe" gives us a pretty good idea of where she's taking it. I guess some of us will just have to deal with it.

It's all about how they CAN'T have those type of relationships because of the life they lead. Sam was hooked on Jess (I think that was her name?) for the longest time, he had his thing with Ruby, all his one night stands. Then Dean had that entire story line with Lisa and I don't think we can dismiss Dean/Cas although I don't get any sort of feelings from it...Hahaha! And I guess Cas and Meg had their little moment? If they'd bring Lucifer back, I'd be all over Samifer. (I've been marathoning SPN over the last couple of months) But anyway, I might be alone in thinking that having romance be a key in TO be fine, but that's ok. I watch shows FOR the romance, so it's something I'd want to see.

Yes, I'm on the loves Klaroline equal and don't want to see them end, but won't boycott the spin-off side, and dont' want anyone to make me seem like a bad fan side. I haven't watched SPN since it's first year, but I've seen online it is about romance. Dean + Castiel. I have the first 4 seasons someone got me as a Christmas present a few years ago. Maybe I should watch.

See, but the difference in what you just pointed out, Mandy, is that even though there are hints of romance, there's never talk about endgames and who's going to end up with who. The brothers aren't always pining over someone and there aren't set couples that people root for. It's not the core of the show (Okay, the love between the brothers is the core but I'm not into incest). I wouldn't mind at all if The Originals was played out that way, Klaus can get some loving without having to get hooked on just one girl (I mean, at least until Caroline decides to leave MF). I'd really hate to be seen as a bad Klaus fan only because I don't like the idea of him having another romantic interest. Like I said, I don't mind him hooking up, but the writers can't keep feeding us KC morsels and expect us to forget about them as soon as they introduce a new girl. That is what I don't like. I'm really into this pairing and I will ship them to the moon and back. I would be more willing to accept the idea of Klaus/Camille if they had already given Klaroline closure. They had so many chances to just end it completely. But what have they done instead? Build them up and build them up, so I'm obviously going to want to see them together at the end.

I'm the same way. I don't really want to see him with any other love interests, but I can deal, as long as something good is in store for them. Gossip Girl was a guilty pleasure of mine, and I shipped Chuck/Blair really hard; they both had many other love interests, and while I wanted to see them together, I understood that the writers wanted to throw a lot of obstacles in their way. Stefan and Damon have both hooked up with people who are not Elena. (Damon in particular.) I don't think there will ever be a TV couple who doesn't bounce a bit from love interest to love interest. While I won't be happy, I can deal with another love interest as long as it is merely a roadblock for Klaroline. I would prefer to see obstacles other than different love interests, but realistically, this is television, and the CW in particular, and I just don't see how there won't be other people at some point or another. As long as Klaroline is endgame, I will not come for Plec's head.

I don't get it! It's not like Klefan where everyone just has fun with it. They are like POSITIVE that Dean and Cas are lusting after each other. My husband and I like to point out moments that the Destiel fandom probably loved when we watch it. I'm on season 7 right now. I get what you mean about the endgame thing. While TVD is definitely about endgame status, I'm slightly optimistic that TO won't be centered THAT heavily on the romance. They can have love interests, but maybe one at a time?? LOL. The only triangle I am interested in seeing (and I say that loosely because I hate love triangles) is one where Caroline shows up and this time she gets to put the charms on a bit to win Klaus over.

Why does every girl that is romantically (or non) involved with Klaus have to be associated with his paintings? I get that it's a passion of his, but geez writers. Broaden the horizons a little. If you're going to give him a new love interest, let it be a fiery little loose cannon chick who he can't seem to tame and is WORSE than him. Because THAT is something I could abandon Klaroline for.

Do any of you follow Leah Pipes on Twitter? She posted just the blown up shot of Camille and Klaus and said "it's coming...along with better posture". Pretty sure she was just talking about The Originals about to premiere soon. PLus, the only picture of her in the mag was with Klaus, so she had to post that one. But I'm just waiting for someone to spot it and be like "KLAMILLE IS COMING OMG SHE IS CONFIRMING IT KLAMILLE IS HAPPENING".
